This show is hilarious. If it continues on like this, I think I might have found my new favorite comedy anime. XD Who else can't wait for Episode 2?
I loved Iselai Uncle, a lot. The nostalgia is strong with this one.
I am in my late 30's. Sonic 2 was my original change to SEGA. I got good. Like, best it in like 30-40 minutes, getting Super Sonic by Chemical Zone. Seeing him simp so hard for that era, I choke up a tiny bit.
This is gonna be a great ride.

This anime might be a dark horse of the season. I really enjoyed the 1st episode it hook me right away and this isekai give us what we have been asking for "How MC would react if he send back to his original world"

Damn he really was right when he said the term "tsundere" became popular in 2004. It was Rin Tohsaka from the Fate/Stay Night visual novel, which came out in January 2004, that caused the word to blow up and become ingrained in otaku culture.

That cant be true. She obviously isnt the first Tsundere and she isnt even a tsundere in the same vein as the elf or many others during the early 00s. Especially with romcomes/fantasy like Love Hina, Zero no Tsukaima, Shana and others around why would it be Tohsaka?
It's not that Tohsaka is the first tsundere, it's that the concept stereotype was more recognized at that time. If we're going even further back, Asuka from Evangelion is an even older tsundere, but more likely Shana and Asuka were more looked at like assholes with a soft side or whatever. Tohsaka from Fate/Stay just popularized the phrase. Much like Sword Art popularized isekai in anime when there obviously were examples like Zero no Tsukaima (though apparently the SAO novel is older) as you mentioned earlier, .hack or even Digimon were isekai shows released earlier.
edit: In hindsight, the isekai part of the comment might not as good an example as I thought first though. As while it popularized a genre, I'm not sure whether "isekai" was a category spawned from that or not back then as it's hard to search up. But hopefully it still got the point across

It's like the term "first-person shooter" which didn't come into vogue until the late 1990s even though games like Wolfenstein 3D, Marathon, and the original Doom existed before it. In fact a lot of FPS games like Hexen and Quake were called "Doom Clones" before the FPS terminology became standard.

My recommendation with similar concept: BIRTHRIGHT, written by Joshua Williamson and drawn by Andrei Bressan.
Published by Image Comics from October 2014 to June 2021. Abou a Boy that goes missing, supposedly kidnap or even worse, on the eve of his birthday. He's returned one year later as an adult, having ventured into another world for several years in his perspective and being raised as a warrior.
The history is a Drama with a dark tone, about broken family relations and post traumatic disorder. But that goes beyond because the boys past in the other world (Isekai) is seeking to seek retribution even in our world. What horrors have followed him back to Earth.
And to gift everyone tastes. We not only follow him back to Earth but also his misadventures in the other world. Because he need to tell someone what he experienced. But will anyone believe him?
If I ever find the time I'll check it out.

After watching the first episode, I started and finished the manga up to current. The elf chick really pissed me off. The constant verbal abuse was getting on my nerves. I guess can't stand haughty tsundere types sometimes but thankfully he had memory erase magic to forget all the bad stuff. This show is def gonna be a gem. Love the game and anime references.
Can't wait to see more tbh. First episode was very enjoyable.

I mean I understand the uncle. Tsundere trope is my least fav trope, unless they..are balanced, at least have some nice moments instead of all the time mean. I mean if a person says that I'm a burden to them and I'm an idiot I would think they hate me instead they love me

let's be real, while Tsundere's sound nice in princeple but when you have some girl stalk and backhand compliment you. it's hard to even entertain the thought that she's in love
