      I want the functionality but I’m honestly concerned about it ruining the classic clean aesthetic. Tell me I’m crazy? 😂
      Actually I want to put a rear view camera in place of the trunk keyhole. And I want Bluetooth really bad! Navigation too! But the aesthetic is my only hangup

      I'm definitely looking into doing this for Bluetooth more than anything. Using those FM transmitters to MacGyver a crude Bluetooth setup is getting pretty old, haha.

    also after splicing the teal wire and getting sound was it saticy at all, and when the volume was at 1 (lowest setting) was it still loud like a 10 on the stock radio.. those are the problems im having. hope this reaches you as the video is already 6 months old lol.

    • @TheJMedia
      @TheJMedia  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey, I got the window visors on eBay. I don't remember the brand but they are called "Mugen style window visors" or something like that. As for the radio, mine doesn't sound staticy. Connection could be loose if yours is. Also with the volume settings, those are pretty normal with aftermarket radios. I've had a few different ones over the years on different cars and they tend to me on the loud side even on volume 1

    Whats up, ive got a similar headunit that im trying to install in my si. Im aware of having to splice the blue wire for premuim audio, but im concerned about the main connector side of the radio (next to the fuse side). On mine, the radio's wiring harness has a couple wires hanging because ive also got the option for a backup cam. The wire im concerned about is the "key-2", im not sure if its supposed to be wired to something thats only on in accessory mode or something. Any help would be appreciated

      @@TheJMedia I just have one more question, what’s the blue wire for that is in my car because I did splice that and thought that is is my factory amplifier but the new stereo still works.

    • @TheJMedia

      Is it a light blue colored wire from the OEM wire harness? If it is, I was under the impression that was the amp wire. Not sure if not other models it's something else

    would this work on a honda civic 2012 coupe

    • @TheJMedia
      @TheJMedia  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You would have to get a headunit for the 9th Gen civic since this one fits 2008 to 2011 models.

    Where did you get the hood vents

    • @TheJMedia
      @TheJMedia  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Those are universal hood vents that I got on eBay. I did a diy video where I cut up my hood to install it.

    bro I’m having so much trouble unscrewing the bolts under the oem radio, the nuts are bolted in so strong . . . i cannot take them out

    • @TheJMedia
      @TheJMedia  ปีที่แล้ว

      If it's the very first time removing the bolts, they can take a little bit to get them out. They will come out eventually if you take your time and have the right tools!

      I used a deep 8mm socket and my electric power ratchet was much easier to unscrew the bolts rather than using a screwdriver.

      I believe the LX does not have a factory amp. If it doesn't, then you shouldn't have to splice any wires and it is just plug and play. Check to see whether your car has premium sound factory amp.
