I totally agree with GG on proportional representation. As he mentioned, UKIP received almost 4 million votes in 2015 with 1 seat! In Scotland, where they have their own devolved parliament, the SNP got 60+ seats with 1.5 mil votes! How were those 4 million England based voters represented? All we have is the flip flopping between tory and labour! New parties will struggle to make a clear impact unless the voting system changes!

I'm from Rochdale Central ward where Galloway's party won but it wasn't a landslide. The Worker's Party candidate won the seat with 53% of the vote.
What was the turnout though? I suspect it was low.

I totally agree with GG on proportional representation. As he mentioned, UKIP received almost 4 million votes in 2015 with 1 seat! In Scotland, where they have their own devolved parliament, the SNP got 60+ seats with 1.5 mil votes! How were those 4 million England based voters represented? All we have is the flip flopping between tory and labour! New parties will struggle to make a clear impact unless the voting system changes!
Galloway spouting absolute rubbish winning 2 seats and coming second in the other 3 is a lie in my ward his party got 17 votes representing a 0.6% share of the vote. He seemed to miss this one out or perhaps he was simply poorly briefed.
