@@unusedsub3003 That's all their taught. None of the good parts. Only the bad stuff. And half the time, it's always from an extremely black and white perspective. They love screeching for example about Britain's role in the slave trade, but also love to admit the part that we were one of the first countries to not only abolish it, but also spend a considerable amount of our wealth and resources into helping to end it globally. They also don't like to talk about the fact (or rather just flat out deny) that many non-white nations played just as much a role in the slave trade as Europe and the Americans.

One day I was looking after a 8 year old boy for my boss. He was telling me what he had learned at school that day. He told me how many towers were on a Mosque. An 8 year old Christian boy being told about Islam in school. But yet this same child could not count to 20. Why on earth is a child of 8 being forced to learn Religious beliefs that aren’t his own, yet the school system neglects to teach our children basic maths. Honestly speaking with the youth today is terrible, just a totally uneducated and misguided generation.
@@STARMERTIMETOGO When I was at school, late 80's and early 90's we were taught about all religions even back then. That was a church of England run school as well. I see an understanding of other cultures as a positive.

I am eternally grateful to my wonderful ancestors. The Britain I grew up in was great. If you import millions of people from other countries with no allegiance to Britain, it is no surprise they don’t appreciate British history and all our brilliant inventions. I went to Bayeux in France recently to visit the British war graves. My overwhelming feeling was one of gratitude because every grave signified the sacrifice of the men who gave their life for our freedom.

Bayeux is great but so is Margaten in Belgium, the largest cementery of the Americans who died so far away from their country.
Back to France, in the region of Amiens there are graveyards from WWI, soldiers who died for Britain came from India, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia.
The British care, they all are in very good conditions, But this war did not have anything to do with freedom, Prince William gave a speech at the Somme in 2018 saying "we made mistakes."
We are thankful that the allies could end WWII, but even in this war British and American freedom was not in danger. However, our Eastern part came under the control of the Soviet Union, in 1989 they won their freedom by a peaceful revolution. So glad I was a child who grew up in 1950s England. My school was patriotic and it was lovely. Our school motto was "Aim high, Be true, Consider others" and I've always tried to live by that. We swore allegiance at school (and later in the Brownies and Girl Guides) to our King and Country. Sunday School was fun. We knew who we were and were proud of our history. I don't care what anyone else thinks of me, because I grew up in a better time, a kind and happy community and school. Neighbours all knew each other and helped each other. Sadly, I would not wish to be born in today's Britain.

I was in primary school in lancashire from 2004-2012 in a pretty poor area. I wouldn't be the man i am today if it wasn't for some great teachers back then. We learnt good history, christ and the bible, sang religious songs and just had a good time. Would hate to be a kid now not knowing wtf is going on with the state of a good portion of the uk.
Sounds similar to 1950's with a headmaster who fought in WW1, world map, times table and copy of "Light of the world" on the wall, Falling in line when the whistle or bell went, discipline in classes of 30 to 40 kids who always addressed the teachers as Sir or Miss and neighbours as Mr & Mrs.
I am white, English and very proud of our history. We have given more to the world than any other country in the world.

It’s the fault of the teaching they get.When I was young we were taught to be proud of the wonderful achievements of Britain and pride in our country.

Teachers haven’t had an inflation busting payrise, train drivers and junior doctors have though - teachers had a 5% rise after their pay being frozen for 15 years!
Additionally, teachers don’t choose what they get to teach, they are ruled by the Department for Education and inspected by Ofsted. If teachers don’t conform to this, they get sacked. Politics in schools is toxic.
A reward for the "Party Faithfull" of course.

Britain has a GREAT history. Britain has made a MASSIVE contribution to mankind. Her empire was not only the biggest but also the best, barring some bad policy by greedy politicians and businessmen like Landsdown and Rhodes. Britain helped so much in other nations, remember when Viceroy Wellesly, working with the missionaries to stop the Hindu cultural practice of live wife burning at Hindu men's funeral burnings. Oh how the awful British cultural interference angers us. No we are a GREAT NATION.
