Personally I think for a final story for Ryza is she goes on an adventure into the Frontier to help build a new town that are buy some ruins. This way we can see some interesting new characters as well as the old and Ryza can use her Alchemy to make a new home for herself and we can see the culmination of the Ruins story arc and where the overall plot is going.

I actually really liked the storyline of the first game. There was good world building, lore, the main cast was very likeable and all had aspirations of their own, and it created a line of progression that was far more sensible than what we see in most other role playing games. I'm waiting for the second one to go on sale before I buy it.
Finally beat this game today, was quite pleased to see your criticisms line up with my own. It's too bad the game's plot didn't feel so much like a proper journey as the first one's did. I can tell they were going for something more grand with uncovering these anicent ruins that were even older than the Klint Kingdom but it just felt a bit formulaic after a while. I missed the social drama of the small town and the twists and turns along the way. That said, all the other improvements still made this game a joy to play and I didn't regret it one bit. Fingers crossed Bos joins the party next time.
They will pin you to the cross like Jesus of bloody Nazareth! I freaking died and listen to it three times before making it through the video! So good.
What i got from ryza2 was: growing up sometimes means that people you love will follow their own paths and goals but that doesn't mean you're not friends anymore. I legit have tears in my eyes again writing this. I sobbed like a child at the ending. All my friends live far away and they all have their own shit going on, so we meet maybe twice/year. We're still friends but the pain of being apart is perfectly reflected in this game's ending. Overall i much preferred ryza2 over 1, and i liked exactly the things clemps didn't: fii's voice acting, the ruin exploration, and seri. But i also ship klaudia and ryza HARD. I wish it was an option for them to end up together in canon but i guess that's super unrealistic... I also loved Bos A LOT in this game, and IF ryza has to have a het romance at some point, i want it to be with him. I think they'd make a good couple (not better than klaudiaxryza but eh).
@@Evanz111 I can understand how anyone can make a TON of assumptions about the game. The gameplay is really great, but the characters don't start off with good impressions. Usually, amnesia + 2/3 annoying main characters = bad story
@@AntiNihilist That’s fair enough, yeah! It’s the gameplay loop I love. It commemorates Pokemon just as well as Final Fantasy Explorers commemorates Monster Hunter. It’s a fantastic tribute!
Jungle Run looks neat. We had Legends of the Hidden Temple growing up in America. (in fact odds are good we might have stolen it from there like a lot of stuff 😅)
07:08 BOY! that caught me off guard, here, have a like. 12:57 This needs to be a gif. 26:51 "me problem"? bro, everybody hates those types of voices, specially from mascots of any kind.
Main issue I had with the combat is that party members feel really superfluous. Like you never really need to use em outside of generating AP so whoever you are controlling can trigger their action commands and build the tactics meter. You don't want them using the AP because they generally spam so hard you will never get a skill off to activate action commands and you won't generate CC to use items. Not helped that most of the parties skills are pretty similar so swapping doesn't really feel necessary and you don't really need more the 2 or 3 items to break combat in general so you don't need to worry about personalizing their item loadout. So at most for me they were back ups in case Ryza got dropped and had to revive her which never happened. Not sure how to really fix that outside of specializing everyone for specific combat scenarios but most enemies don't really have the skillset/resists to warranting changing party lineups.

I freaking died and listen to it three times before making it through the video! So good.
New Clemps Video!
Good Day, Confirmed!
Love that plug at the end. Please cover 13 Sentinels, it was my GOTY 2020 and I consider it Vanillaware's masterpiece.
1:50 that moment when you're grinding in World of Final Fantasy while watching this video...
I wish more people spoke about this game! I loved it so much
@@Evanz111 I can understand how anyone can make a TON of assumptions about the game.
It’s a fantastic tribute!
return of the king
Jungle Run looks neat. We had Legends of the Hidden Temple growing up in America. (in fact odds are good we might have stolen it from there like a lot of stuff 😅)

Clemps: If it wasn't for our old friend Mr Al Chemy
Me; Wait, why are talking about a guy named Al Chemy?
...
Oh Wait
07:08 BOY! that caught me off guard, here, have a like.
12:57 This needs to be a gif.
26:51 "me problem"? bro, everybody hates those types of voices, specially from mascots of any kind.
Gonna be back here like 3 years from now after I've (maybe) played Atelier Ryza 2
Clemps brotha you have done it again
22:43 is that Synphogear??
THEY CAN DO *THAT* !?!
XD
