I finally went over to the other side. For a second, I caught myself thinking, “Richard’s off to the side, doing the actual playing while this guy’s got his volume off.” I think I put the duh in duh-me.
I don't know how many times I almost bought this or their 800 series. I can't believe it would be better than my Monsoon, or can it? Speaking about my Monsoon, I had about 5 high frets and one was actually fretting out on around the 15th fret.
I had bought files for this very problem. OK, here's my first time trying to level frets. I worked on each fret individually and it came out flawlessly. Crowned each fret and polish all of them along with cleaning the fretboard and oiling it. My Monsoon now looks and plays beautifully.
The Fesley looks and sounds great but I'll stick with my Monsoon. 😊

Love these reviews...where were these guitars when I was a beginner? It would have saved teenage me from an awful Arbor strat with a red lightning bolt on it. (I bet Metal Dude would love it, though.)
Keep up your work Richard. In Canada its more difficult to order on amazon as there are fees for import often. The key difficulty for myself is memory for notes physically i have zero limitations on playing fast.
The biggest thing is picks for playing. I use a 0.88 tortex green, 1.0 tortex blue, 1.0 nylon black dunlop, and 1.6 red george dennis dunlop. 0.88 on days i want less speed and focus on accuracy, the 1.0 blue if more picking force, the 1.0 black if need to escape mentally, and 1.6 red if memory is needed. Colors of guitars and picks to me affects how playing feels, subtle but nonetheless present.
Additionally different players think different, vinnie moores playing is easy to remember, yngwies thinking is just bizarre, and macalpines is heavily influenced by his piano.
Really cool shredding there, MD. Man, again, I'm so jealous of all of the great inexpensive guitars that kids today can start on. Just rather it be a hardtail.
I have a feeling there are some hardtails coming soon from Fesley.
In Canada they only have the black on Amazon but that green to me is the ticket they grey looks awesome to, Firefly FFSPs have been tanking my back account lately though as I've found a way to get them up here 😮

I like the "Ring" fret markers (stolen from Kiesel?) but I'm not a fan of the brand name at the 12th fret.
If I had this guitar I would put a white five pointed star on it to make look like a military vehicle form WW II !!!

Sounds and looks like it would make a pretty good beater well i guess at that price don't have to worry about a little scratch or two on there. Hey you can get a glarry for under a hundred still.

I could definitely hear those pickups struggling to get that thick 80s tone, but for $120-$140ish, it sounded pretty good. That trem is sus. Would rather see it have a set bridge. I'd put it on my secondary guitar list. Thanks for the review!

They should remove both tone knobs, the middle pickup (use a rail istead on the instead pickup) and put that money that is saved on a Graphite Nut and somewhere else, maybe better colors and paint

Nice shredding but I was wondering how the FST400M compares to the FDK800, I know that the FDK800 is a little more expensive and has a high gloss finish but are there any other differences. I saw you video on the FDK800 and bought one but I was just curious as to if there were any differences in how they play.
I don't know if it plays or sounds any better, but the FDK800 has 24 frets and much nicer looking finishes.
Ive already received 2 FST400ms and both were damaged in Transit. i just want a guitar to arrive not damaged
How would you compare these Fesely models to the Harly Benton Fusions? I'm just curious. These Fesley's look sweet.

Looks great, but sounds pretty dark clean. It might just be your settings, but it sounds like my Firefly that I modded with Iron Gear Metal Machines (22k in the bridge), so for it only being 12-13k, that's pretty impressive.
I'm sure a lot of it has to do with my Line 6 settings.

First thing I would do is replace the bridge then the pickups then the body along with the volume and tone knobs along with the pickup switch. Then I would replace the neck and frets and nut then I would replace the headstock , the tuners, the strap buttons, strings and then the color 👍🏼

It sound really cheap and hollow to my ears! I would recommend to buy a better, secondhand guitar instead, but thats me.
Dude, seriously The Poplar Guitars Hurt my ears with High End. Fesley should Stop Trying to be the cheapest and Go for Quality! Wood matters. Bass wood is good and cheap. Use Basswood.
