@@goldenretriever6440 The parts that wear (mostly) are common to usa GM so shouldnt be insurmountable if you imported 1 - the HQs Came with 350s from factory (thats the sbc) so for a w/end cruiser i don't see why not buy an LS over the GTS , save them 4 AU get a lower buying price & build the finished Car yourself or get An AU shop to build it for you if u aren't handy with tools. Ask the owner of American autoparts for some pointers & parts from them or Aust Precision etc. Maybe best to buy a turn-key car if you can afford it. But you've got exchange rate working in your favour. Kiwi Connections in C.A. would import it for you.Ask for steve.I owned a Speed shop 4 many yrs until a massive Stroke @ 57 nearly killed me & cost me a ton of $. Goodluck. Trev New Zealand.

@@trevking3772 An how exactly would he ruin it by mini tubbing it, I did it to my 74 GTS coupe and you can't tell the difference. They only take a bit off the back of the wheel arch and cut a bit off the chassis but it still maintains the flow and looks sick when you sit a big ass tyre in it.
You might wanna find a way to get more fuel in the intake before fire up. If it is a carby a couple of pumps, fuel injection increase the prime squirt.

Thanks mate, we were testing a new push button start ignition system as well as getting oil up before firing it up. Yes it had been run in on an engine dyno and this was just first start in the car
OMG had a chance to buy one the same color and with the black and white original checked seats and he wanted 2.5K for it, i had the CASH, but did not want to buy an older car with someone else's problems, then after he sold it Holden said they are bring out the new monaro, WTF, the same car sold for over 65 K. Well you live and learn ? PS: also found out the original color was the purple with black stripes, so paint job was first thing that needed doing and it was not the original engine block, which is why maybe i did not buy it, considering that mock ups were only going for about 5 to 10K at that time ?
