This gives me memories of Dad's 1977 Holden Monaro GTS HX he had. It sounded awesome. Still currently trying to find it. I want it back sooooooo badly :(
There aint nothing like the sound of a well tuned Chevy V8. I know this was filmed in Australia but the cars, roads and surroundings are so much like my home in South Africa it is unreal.Made me think of my Corvette days Nice clip.
Still got her? Would be worth a small fortune these days. I've got a HQ GTS coupe myself and would never part with it unless I was in a dire financial need. Like you, I also get people waving when I drive by. It's amazing how many people yell out, honk horns and wave when they see and hear an old Aussie muscle car :)
"quick run"? - a brief run. She sounds mighty fine. These were new when I got my license but I had no chance. I had to scrape finance together to get an modest HR 186 LOL.
Hi htmonaro - do you have any more pics or videos of this car ? And if you do can you please share them to the Holden Crew Facebook page? A lot of people - plus the admins are chatting about it all the time. Cheers.
Is there any other ways to try and track it down? We've tried the rego ages ago and its not registered under what it used to be. We also contacted the insurance company and they are looking through their old files and Dad and I are going to vicroads to check the car history under his licence number.
great sound can you please tell me what exhaust system your running? i have a 2.5 mandrel into two edlebrock mufflers and it sounds like shit compared to this..
