I think they all make that noise when they have been on a while they still seem to work ok I don't no weather putting a new 1 on adds any more benefits other than just getting rid of that bit of a noise & I don't no how long it will last b4 noise comes back again?
Mine never came back again but if it doesn't bother you then I agree leave it alone. Depends really. It used to anoy me and I like taking things apart lol.

@@fireball8767 no mate I wouldn't say there is any extra benefit to it. I just have a xbox one x aswell and it has never made a noise ever so I just wanted to quiet the one s. Don't mind fan noise but the ticking is annoying to me👍🏻
To be honest it needed doing but no it didn't stop the jerking. It seems to be since I put the induction kit on as it never did it with the airbox. Maybe the maf sensor has got contaminated with filter oil. I'm going to be changing back to airbox soon anyway👍
I have heard of some people who fixed the jerkiness by resetting the throttle body with a Foxwell nt510 (for 1.8 VTEC , not r type). I have bought the PCV valve, still to install and check if it solves it, if not I will try the recalibration.
What's your opinion on the valve clearance thing on these cars mate does it actually make any difference? I no it suppose to be for the ticking noise but most engines make a ticking noise when they are just stood still ticking over I think
To be honest I haven't done the clearances on mine but yer an engine would run more efficiently with good valve clearances. Ticking can be the injectors. Wen clearances need looking at you will know because its really tapping loud.
No even tho I did this with the valve and did the clutch thing it is still jerkynwennchangingnat high revs sometimes. You have to catch the throttle just rite when changing. I think it has to do with the revs hanging when you dip the clutch
