@@theriversexperience9383 i didnt get to see much of the demonstration of people creating things this go round but I’ll definitely be back , its so cool and such a fun addition to TRF!
Great video taking. Your scenes were well taken and summarized very well the festival and what happens in it. This is a great video for someone who is wondering what the festival is like. We are going this weekend. 🙂
I remember you! It’s honestly so refreshing to see someone enjoy something this nice alone! This is so cool so see your day at the faire I’m glad you had fun! I’m a jester at the front gate and on my breaks I try to go enjoy the faire and just appreciate all the beautiful things and relax. It’s very relaxing when you just sit and watch!
Hi Tai, I think your adorable and awesome! Thank you for giving us a thorough and well filmed tour of the Texas Ren Faire. I also appreciate you giving us the pricing for the items you purchased including the food and drink. This was a lot of fun for me to watch as I have been a full fledged Ren Rat since 1991 but only get to attend the East Coast Ren Faires. I have been wanting to go to the Texas Ren Faire for years now, and I hope one day to make the pilgrimage. I have a couple of friends that moved to Houston a few years ago, so I can go with them.
Two years ago I had been given a gold-painted acorn by a guy dressed as a druid, and then last year, someone gave me a tiny resin-made rubber duck. It's why I love TRF so much, it's whimsical in the best way.
I’ve been there a couple of times, but it’s been awhile. I miss getting to go but I can’t do all the walking anymore. Loved seeing all the sights on your video though.
Thanks so much for sharing this! Texas is huge, so I haven’t been yet either, but definitely will one day (maybe when my daughter is older). Until then, I’ll look forward to seeing your next video! Thanks again, from a new subscriber :)
the best time to buy the higher priced items is the last day of the festival. everyone is lowering their prices because its the last festival of the season and they are trying to make as much money as possible. my cousins work the archery stand. i didnt get to go this year because i cant walk much yet. back injury and alot of surgeries. working on it tho, hopeful for next year!!
Aww I wish I watched this before I missed 1001 Dreams 😢 I'm going to the barbarians and pirate weekends though...hope to see u there...I'll have trinkets for trade as well 🎉
The first time I went (decades ago), I ended up getting sick (warm during the day, then cold and rainy at night...I blame my friend's ex bc he got us lost so we were wandering around forever when I should have been snuggled up somewhere, resting). However, I've been back each year for the last decade on the last weekend and I love it there. Can't wait to go this year!
❤ watch all of the video.. was their with family... Awesome video great job.. was hoping to see us in it .. guess we missed.. lol you are a great story teller.. 😊
The charms and trinkets are the best part of the festival, especially when you find ppl to trade with. It is becoming more about money than handmade stuff though sadly.
I’ve debated on going alone a few times and honestly you look like you had a fabulous time! I might have to now 🤔 Did you have someone hold your camera for the archery shots you got or did you bring a whole stand with you? I feel like brining a whole bag of camera gear might be taxing on your own 🤣
@@cynthiabustamante2884 it does! Its every year from mid October till thanksgiving weekend located in todd mission texas. Its called the Texas Renaissance Festival 😊
Hi! What day did you go, Saturday or Sunday? My husband and I went on Saturday, it was our first time attending and honestly it was so so for us. Our main reason for going was because it was Oktoberfest! But there was not a lot about it, and I was thinking it was going to be more like Oktoberfest because the website said it but it wasn’t. I even wore my dirndl, and a lot of people were dressing in their trachten, but that’s about it. Im glad you had fun!❤
@@LifeAsTai so maybe we crossed each other! And yeah, that was a little disappointing, and it was hot! I was sweating like crazy and my dirndl wasn’t even that heavy, I can’t imagine other people dressing in their more elaborate costumes! Hopefully the weather gets better for the next time you’re going. Please let us know how it goes🤗💕
@@marilynng2877 I'm in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and plan on going on the 3-day event, Celtic Christmas. But I was lol'ing the part about it being hot and the people that dress up in those elaborate outfits. Our local fair is Scarborough, and it opens in April and goes through the end of May. I remember one April it was already hot and even though I usually dress up myself I didn't that weekend. I was wearing jeans and a t-shirt and was already sweating while we were waiting for the opening and this guy in front of me was like 6'2" and wearing head to toe black and red leather and I was thinking that if I was dressed like that, I would pass out!
Eeek! I can’t wait to run into you at one now! …..please don’t be offended if I can’t remember your name I’m HORRID with names and I’ll probably wave like a crazy person.
Glad you stopped by The Dragon Forge Experience! I am the blacksmith there at 14:36 mark and I am having a blast working the Festival.
