You have so much great info! A lot of useful practical tidbits that you can't find on the website, but you also talked about the community, and I appreciate you setting expectations about behavior and consent! Consent is so sexy
This was our second year camping. Our first year we camped near birkenweg and cemetery, and this year we camping in row 13 closer to the bonfire and the clans. The RVs around us helped drown out the party and I feel like we were far enough away to miss the loudness. Definitely learned some new things watching this, thank you for puttting this out there!
Sherwood Forest outside of Austin has a campground too, but it is small and has very limited open sites, it is a lot of clans that rope off areas. It is also like camping on a beach, so much sand. lol
Sherwood Forest Faire, Louisiana Renaissance faire and many small fates (Whispering Grove, Faire of Champions, Avalon faire) around Texas have camping.
Was just there for Pirate Weekend. Overall it was an amazing time and I loved partying with the pineapples. I will say however there were hundreds of generators running all night long. Some were powering the music and lights in the clans and that's totally cool, but even in all the other camps these old generators were pumping exhaust and 100 decibels into my tent.
went to trf and camped for years it got to the point that the partiers were out of control going all night ignoring the rules and then during the day the stoner raver kids would wonder around ppls camps and "find" things so you come back from fair and find out your camp has been robbed. apparently they have stepped up security and enforcement past few years i still havent been back it left a pretty bad taste in my mouth. and prices down there have gotten out of control. though its nice to hear they finally built the showers they promised us 20 yrs ago
Hello from Connecticut!! Great and informative video!! I have been wanting to go for so long....#QUESTION: How is the weather and temp in November (I think you said) for the Celtic Christmas?? Sounds fun!!
I have a question: Is it required that you stay in costume during camping festivities? When we go to the wasteland weekend it's required to be in costume the hole time to keep from immersion breaking. I haven't really see any one talk about this. I know ren fair is much more relaxed to costumes.
You don't have to wear a costume/garb at all, if you don't want to! A ton of people do because they find that it enhances the experience, but there are plenty of people that go in normie clothing!

Sherwood Forest Faire is in the spring and allows camping. It’s in McDade, TX

The vine is called Virginia creeper and yes it sucks and has thorns that hurt.
It's a sneaky ouchy thing! I'll look it up, because it gave me a HECK of a bad rash! Definitely a think I'll be trying to avoid in the future!

From what I hear, it was perfect this year! Cool but not too cold, and sunny
Thank you for making this video. Have you made a vid about the party and wild side of the campgrounds?
Not just yet, but I have videos slated to talk about the clans and the dancing available!
Right on thank you the vid is great
