Just like the bike you’re paying for the name w/ thrashin, etc. I’ll be picking mine up Saturday, I’ve only made real plans to upgrade the lights. Apparently you’ve got to put Angry Chicken parts on to remain under warranty, which I believe aftermarket tunerband sawicki exhaust sounds awesome.
Found you video. I’m actually having a similar issue. Getting that check engine light and the throttle lag. However mine is more like it’s trying to figure out how much power it wants to give when I twist the throttle. Sometimes I can blip other times I really have to roll back. It’s only been one day I’ve been searching to see if other ppl have had this issue. I’m not seeing any error in the install so that was going to be my next choice to see if it would change if I had removed the extension. I’d really like to keep my 10” risers and I see others with them so I know there is an extension somewhere that has to work 😂
I just installed thrashing 6.5” pullback plus the raptor 1.5” pullback plate from kraus. Had to get new cables … I haven’t been able to ride it.. cuz I’m in Minnesota.. but it feels good.. basically I raised it 4.5’” and pulled it back 3” or so… I’m hoping it’s a better feel while riding… I can sit up straight and have a little bend in the elbows …so we’ll find out soon
On my buddies ST we did the 6.5 Thrashin Supply Pull Backs everything stock works. On my brothers we are getting ready to do 10" pull backs w/ Renthal Fat Bars sleeved for controls. This is the first I'm hearing about problems with extentions . Thanks for the heads up.
Try this. Turn on switch, do not start. Leave on for 10 seconds. Then turn switch back off for 10 seconds. Repeat ten times!! Then when you turn it back on start. Should be golden!! The problem is not the harness or anything. The ECU will see the voltage drop on it's self check. And adjust. I've had many issues with stuff like this (you mentioned couldn't see how a voltage drop with just 6" of wire. You're correct) however, canbus electronics as sophisticated as they are operate like a telegraph signal. So what's happening it's not seeing the signal fast enough (yes it knows milliseconds). Try that and let me know. I've had many issues with FBW and this trick seems to fix it. If it doesn't, pull the main fuse for about 30 mins and reinsert it and do what I said above BEFORE you try to start it again. Wish you well
Yep I have a 21 low rider S... exact same issue, had Revs spike up to 5 grand on its own and all. A dealership diagnosed it to be throttle sensor but after a few more days of riding codes came back in 1510c 1512c limp mode and a bunch of other ones some saying forced engine shutdown. They did replace the extension for guerrilla second time around, but codes came back in. All I could think of was that rain was going in but the plug seals seemed fine. Had codes cleared and been riding since. I don't doubt that in due time codes will come back in a very inconvenient timing.
I have know idea if codes change over the years but I have a 2022 Lowrider S. I was getting a very momentary change in rpm and then a code P0651. This represents an abnormal in the 5V reference voltage. My understanding is various modules check function against this 5V and if the voltage is off it throws off other sensors. After a few attempts at clearing the code and having it come back after a short ride, with the twitch in rpm, I took it back to the dealer. They started investigating and found the "twist grip sensor plug was not fully seated". The plug was reseated and after riding the bike for 50 miles no codes thrown. I don't know what the tolerance are for this reference voltage but I'd be curious what the differences are in the various wirrs, including the connectors, and if that may be part of the issue you're having.
I have 6.5 risers on my low rider s 22,used HD extension wiring harness and oem stock dash it did not give me any issues or fault codes.. hope this could help..
Man that sucks, I just installed my risers and kit on my ST the past two days. I sourced all my extensions individually instead of a kit, guerilla cables and NAMM were the two companies I used, perhaps that route may work for you.
@@skeggst2957 atleast you know it's not the bike, just gotta figure out the extensions. When I get home I'll shoot you over the product numbers I used just so you have them as reference if needed.
I bet the wires are made of a different composition/shielding or the connectors same issue, alterimg resistance. Maybe turn off with stock connection disconnect battery, deenergize system. Then reconnect extension , reset tune?
I’m having the same problem , i installed risers and my kits throttle wire wasn’t working at all so i ended up plugging the oem right into the bike without extension , rode it around and the same thing happened , i got the replacement extended wire and plugged it in finally cuz i was like why is my bike going full throttle and cutting out ? But after installing the extension same problems kept coming up , eventually after clearing codes and pulling fuses and it going away for a ride or two i started up the bike codes were back on , i cleared it pulled the fuses went for a ride and out of no were bike died i pull over and it won’t even turn over anymore so now it’s been at Harley since last Tuesday sadly , expensive man I’m hoping it’s something warranty covered cuz i feel like a riser installl shouldn’t be causing all these issues .
What extensions did you use? Was it a kit from cablekits.com? If so reach out to Shane and he will get you fixed up. If the kit is from someone else we may be on to something with the new bikes. Please update with info.
nice bike👌 I can vouch for Original garage moto risers. I have 6.5 inch on my Street Bob love. good feel. get that moto style control. I got a couple videos up of my set up if you wanna check it out. I got lucky and could use all stock cables etc.
I just left my store and the same thing just happened to my bike, but I don’t have risers. Everything is stock and literally I have no power. I don’t know what the hell to do
That's wild I haven't heard of that one yet. Just an idea have you tried using one of the cablekits cables, when the code comes up, reset the code and see if it will go away and stay away? DId you change the grips at all? Did maybe something with the stock wiring on the throttle by wire accidentally get pinched or come un-pinned in the plug during install of the risers?
The aftermarket companies can’t keep up with changes HD made on lowrider s and st that have happened from 2020 on. I had 2021 lowrider s and traded for the new st. Your problem is the extension’s in my opinion.
Yes. And the cablekits.com kit comes with instructions and the bleeder. Took about 20 min and came out perfect. Just be careful not to get any air in the line.

Make your own extensions. Cut and solder in 18 gauge wires to make the extension. Works perfectly.

Wish mine was that easy. Shane at cablekits.com is making me a new harness. Hopefully this one works.
Could be a cable is pinned incorrectly. Could be the wires aren’t twisted properly causing interference. Could be the pins aren’t properly crimped.

I wanted to do a stage 2 to my fxlrst but when I was going through my SE tuner software, I noticed there is no stage 2 map.
Gotta say goodbye to that warranty!
No stage 2 is listed because the ST comes with the HD toque cam from factory. Part numbers are the same for anyone that wants to look into it

Stage elevennteen.
I’ve got a similar issue. P1510c, snd 2123c. Re-verified the wiring and still having issues.

I used goldfire risers from Amazon. Cheap but they are doing the trick. Video to come on the risers.
Did you disconnect the main fuse before unplugging any wires?
No, but that would t cause an uncle arable code. Codes caused by that kind of thing are quickly cleared.
That sucks, sorry to hear. Definitely keep us posted. Like the mods so far. Have considered changing out the controls?
