Re book clubs I have left so many book clubs I am not a book club lover. There is always someone who gets on my nerves. Teas become a big thing and often everything else other than the books are discussed. Long ago I belonged to a wonderful bookclub with the most interesting people but sadly it ended . A real visit to a Books shop is the best after these months of book deliveries. Just touching the books is a thrill so enjoy.

I have read 8 of the longlist (dnf’d 2) and hope to get to a couple more before it’s announced but will aim to read all the longlist before the winner. I like to read at my own pace and on my own time. I don’t like to venture outside of romance because that is my favorite genre when it comes to books. I’m also a huge mood reader.

Your book hauls are my least favourite, mainly because I like to hear what you think about a book. I might do some other wrap ups though like of books pre this channel etc. It’s all about time and where my head is at too though. I had a physical reaction to it. I just wanted to curl up into a ball and didn't want anyone to touch me for hours after reading it! It was so difficult to read but it definitely made me think about things I had never considered before. I LOVE Emezi!! I have only read The Death of Vivek Oji, but it was SO beautiful. It's another book that had my cis-gender straight mind thinking! I can't wait to pick up more from them! Congratulations on the new show! How exciting! I got my vaccination on Friday. So, my brain is starting to think about when I can come back over the pond to London. I’m unsure at this point if the autumn will make sense. Perhaps winter, or spring, at the latest. Can’t wait! I just picked up the audiobook of Anne Glenconner’s Murder on Mustique. I think I need a break from Unsettled Ground. I like it, but I don’t love it. It’s just rather unbearably slow for me. I’m hoping it will pick up.I did not expect to have this problem given that so many people love this book. This is definitely slowing down my Women’s Prize reading. 😳

I got my vaccination on Friday. So, my brain is starting to think about when I can come back over the pond to London. I’m unsure at this point if the autumn will make sense. Perhaps winter, or spring, at the latest. Can’t wait!
I just picked up the audiobook of Anne Glenconner’s Murder on Mustique. I think I need a break from Unsettled Ground. I like it, but I don’t love it. It’s just rather unbearably slow for me. I’m hoping it will pick up.I did not expect to have this problem given that so many people love this book. This is definitely slowing down my Women’s Prize reading. 😳
Hahaha. That I left as a little reward sneaky peak for those who made it to the end so well done. I think international travel is going to be a little while yet but fingers crossed not to far away. I’ve not read either of the books you’ve mentioned yet.
