SO MANY CONGRATULATIONS on becoming a doctor!!! I'm in my first year of pre-med at age 38, and your channel is really helping me and inspiring me. Thank you so much!
You're a nice and intelligent person. So what do I need to say about the duration of your videos? Nothing, I watch them because they're always interesting. If they are "very long" I watch them partially in several days. You choose your creativity, you choose your path. Everything is fine for me. Thanks for not publishing the so obvious videos that are everywhere in TH-cam. Your approach is more natural, profound and not clickbaity. Congratulations for being finally a doctor. I hope you don't leave us forever although I understand you will have a lot less time the moment you begin practicing. Love ❤
Agreed. In this video specifically, I am having a hard time understanding how to structure and use a Human Digest, which to me is the key point in this video. Though I don't mind the shorter format, I think that a longer explanation, or maybe one or two examples for only one key point in the video would go a long way in improving the applicability of the information presented in it.
I agree, I had a hard time understanding how to navigate the 4 different stages of the semester and I feel like a longer video would have gone further on that topic
Don’t worry Ms. Filips, this was definitely not too long. You could go on for another hour, and I would be listening with pen and paper in hand and hungry for more. Your efforts have earned my ardent appreciation. Anything that illuminates the dark machinations of my motivational processes is a very welcome enlightenment. Thank you🎉 Cheers!
Congratulations, Dr. Elizabeth Filips! You are one of the very few TH-camrs who I trust and find genuine. I hope that you keep inspiring the people around you and keep making them proud.

Since ADHD appears different in different people, even though you've been tested before, you might not have been assessed in the right way. I have been diagnosed with ADHD, but the assessment took about two months. However, there can be other causes of focus and attention issues... biological, neurological, or other (hormonal imbalance, sleep disorders, etc). There are also other cognitive disorders which are not yet included in the diagnostic manual. Congratulations elizabeth. You achieved it. You actually helped me a lot. Im a 13yr old boy who was struggling to keep up with my grades. I used to spike up really really high or ho down very badly. But you changed my life. I feel like i only grow now (sometimes down) ❤ thank you so much❤
I love your long form videos. You don’t ramble you communicate clearly and thoroughly. Congratulations on your accomplishments. You’re approach is whole heartedly appreciated. ❤❤❤🎉I also love how you do not label yourself (adhd) but fully acknowledging your state of being. Yes! Me too! Hack that brain. 🧠 ❤🎉
Oh gosh it’s like you know I started college again Thursday and I’m working on organizing my school things this weekend! I’m 12 classes away from my bachelors in forensic psych and I’m so excited. Currently I’m a nurse
This is the first video of you I have watched, I usually don’t get through 14 minute videos.. this was so highly condensed, understandably conveyed info that I watched it like I just watched a 4-minute video. Great great great info!
I think both the short and long videos are good, depending on my brain's mood (how much information it is willing to intake), but seeing you so passionate about the topics (more so in long videos) is very contagious!!
Just getting on time off my university to see this🎉 Big congratulations Dr!❤ You're my personal inspiration and for me (eng) and many others in different fields. I have followed your journey since 2021, and seeing this genuinely makes me happy 🎉 Keep up the great work you're truly helping and motivating a lot of people❤
your videos never fail to motivate and inspire me they are incredibly insightful, uplifting, and always brighten my day, I am profoundly grateful for the dedication and hard work you put into creating such exceptional content your passion and brilliance shine through every video please continue to enlighten and inspire us with your phenomenal work
This Christmas I received a profound and very thought-provoking gift. My dear father who passed away 5 years ago at age 98, was given the following words in a frame "Life Is A Special Occasion". This apparently was his favourite saying in his later years - and - I never really knew it. While it makes full sense to me that it would be, I was emotionally, pleasantly, and gratefully surprised to be at the receiving end of this cherished philosophy. I pass it on in hopes that your readers might find it of interest or help.
your videos are a nice reminder to me that we do not fit in to productivity advices but we have to find and create productivity systems that adapt to us. I have been dread studying and having a routine that is the same as i find it boring and hard to follow and i feel so guilty about it. You make made my day i am going to try and adapt this type of system. thank you for sharing this. And I love your long videos ,sometimes I get lost in them but the video you made on beauty standards was really good, i loved it.
I like your longer rambling videos but you're right, they are difficult to comprehend in one sitting. I've often watched your videos more than once to increase my understanding. I appreciate all the hard work you put into your videos and would not want you to decrease depth although I do realize you would likely get your message out to more people if you did.
It's so great to see you again! Missed the heck out of ya! You are way too demure Dr. Filips. You clearly have some innate talents that many of the rest of us have a hard time even understanding, much less applying. Well, on the brighter side of things, I'm actually in California now. I hauled all my stuff cross country, from Florida 7 months ago, and I'm trying to survive this hostile landscape now. Thank you for all your inspiration. Much love, Alex
Not sure if it's helpful, but: you're the only productivity channel I watch! The idea of integrating the emotional state inside the productivity method is novel to me. (at least before watching your content) There's nothing quite like it on TH-cam. It's like when I first learn about Deep work in ~2010. keep it up!
I like both types of videos: short with a lot of information and long with a lot of information. I watch the long videos in several parts. Thanks and keep up the good work!
Congratulations Elizabeth! I know you worked so hard while also giving so much help to others with your channel, it really is amazing and you are just such a wonderful, brilliant and beautiful human being.
Hello Elizabeth I miss your content it has become a really important part of my days. I am thinking of watching everything you have created . Is the first time I feel someone has created something so genuine and beautiful please continue working on this youtube channel. I am anxiously awaiting for your next video.
Many, many congratulations to you for graduating as a doctor. I was pressured into following this career path-- I didn't, eventually-- but I will always respect those who put in years of hard grind to join such an honourable and valuable profession. Well done to you. I personally prefer long videos, as long as the content is to the point. I have watched many videos from this channel. I am astonished by how much of your advice here is resonating with me. I thought that I did best with consistent systems and so on, but yesterday, I wrote an article with 6331 words in a few hours yesterday and had it posted. Yet I have not written anything like that for months on end. I kept thinking I needed a "system" in place to write. It has only recently dawned on me that such demands are actually keeping me from writing. I also junked a "system" for learning languages after getting hooked on a German movie and often staying up late to learn more in the most undisciplined way possible-- à la Richard Feynman. Now this video has made me realise why I am failing to finish short stories. It's motivation that's necessary, and I need to work with that. Great video!
My first reaction (streamline of consciousness) was it was a bit harder to follow then what I’d listen to awhile back but towards the middle it started to resonate more. I only listened while I did laundry so I can’t speak on the video part. Probably gonna give a second listen cause I’m not sure I retained everything. Side note that could be a benefit to make people rewatch, but I have a feeling your channels been based on more, good luck with the algorithm battles
I might actually like the rambling, not everyone’s talking about what you are or from the perspective that you have so access to more of suppose vs just informative
Congratulations doctor! 🎉 What a journey. You have one of the best productivity channels on youtube. So no, I don't have a problem with your longer videos. I hope you create more in the future. ❤
What a fantastic and clear overview of controlling the chaos of willpower and energy day-to-day and throughout the day. Definitely got me thinking about new ways to prioritize tasks and approach my TODO list. Thank you for the inspiration!
Congratulations, Elizabeth! I do realize that you've "concentrated" your video and I like it. I still have a bit of an issue applying what I learn from you because you are way smarter than me and I find it difficult to actually fit what you are saying into my own daily issues
Elizabeth, I've been subscribed to your channel for a while, I have to say that your video's qualities are the best, your editions are insanely good. Now, about long or short videos, in my opinion, it doesn't matter because you can grab our attention, it's amazing! Congratulations on your degree in medical school, we're proud of you!
Congratulations Elizabeth!!! It's been an absolute honor to watch your journey and see you juggle through everything and achieve so much. We are all so proud of you and you deserve every little bit of the good things coming your way. Your videos just keep getting better and better and I would change absolutely nothing about them. Be it short form or long form, whether people stick around with it or not, I'd have aboslutely nothing else but you keep making the videos the way you've always desired. Of course, I know it's important for you that the channel grows, it's important for us too. But I'd have it no other way than you being your authentic self and explaining things to your heart's content. You're an absolute goddess and I can't wait for what's about to come. Much love
I really enjoyed this shorter video, although, like many others have said, if a video is longer, I will just designate time to dive in when I am able to because the topics you cover pique my interest. This video felt like a human digest in itself. I think a follow-up video providing more examples and connections of ways to implement this strategy would be super cool.
First off, congrats doctor! Second, I love how informative your videos are, and how they are not "just another video" out there. They've always covered everything, and although you didn't fail to achieve the same results with a shorter video, please don't make them shorter than 15 mins. I don't think that would cut it for videos with this amount of information. I also think it has become your style to create relatively long videos, and I'm sure it is loved by many of us. I know it is loved by me! Amazing editing and content as always, love everything about it :)
Firstly, congratulations! I have been following your content for years now, and it made me feel validated to see someone who experiences focus and learning as I do, your videos have always been a great source of motivation
I love both forms of videos, I enjoy your editing and the ways you incorporate art into your videos and congratulations on becoming a doctor!! This is such a lovely milestone and I hope you truly love this phase of your life and career :)
CONGRATULATIONS!! I haven’t seen you on my home page for a long time, and I was curious and found this- you DID it!!! In terms of length, I love both styles of video, but I will say because I have issues with focus and attention, this one was perfect.
Congratulations doc!! Countless videos of yours in the past have helped so much, please do keep doing this whenever possible for you, thank you for the tons of help!!
Congrats on becoming a doctor! It is truly a privilege and one of the best aspects about my life - to take care of patients in their most vulnerable moments. For future videos especially with concepts that can seem intangible like learning; I would love examples to I can see how it that is in real time. Thank you so much!
Congratulations! Has been fascinating to watch your journey. Still amazed you could study, research learning, and post TH-cam videos! As to your question, yes I prefer the short form but if the additional distillation means less frequent posting, then I would rather have the long videos. Thank you for all that you've shared.
Hey, congrats🎉 I am following your channel for many many years and you were one of the people who inspired me to study medicine and I today I am medical student. I love all your videos, even the long ones. Thanks for sharing your journey with us!
Congratulations on your graduation, you will absoulutely make an brilliant doctor. I don't think there is anything wrong with your long format videos, sometimes a little bit of rambling is all we need to get out and actually get productive ourselves. That being said longer from videos I am more likely to put off and watch later. Your videos and, well the way your brain works, you're the only person I've ever found that I feel understands the way I work and they way I think, your study and motivational videos have been an absolute godsend throughout the years.
I would have loved an example of a short overview memory device like you talked about at the end- purely conceptualizing what that could look like was too vague. Overall great video. I think I prefer the longer ones, or an immediate follow up video on each facet you covered here. And congratulations 🎉
Hello! This was the first video I watched from your channel, and I watched it all the way to the end! I cannot believe the level of detail you included within 14 minutes was not long at all (I made it longer because I was pausing to take notes). It's absolutely amazing! Congratulations on graduating from medical school!
Wow, congratulations on your graduation Elizabeth! I have looked up to you for many many years, I feel as though the structure of my thoughts and my life have changed since first watching your videos, and can't thank you enough for sharing your leanings with the world. You're amazing
Well done, Dr. Elizabeth Filips! Congratulations on achieving this incredible milestone! Your dedication and hard work have paid off, and I’m thrilled to see you reach this moment. Wishing you continued success and fulfillment in your medical career. I can’t wait to see the amazing contributions you’ll make to your patients' health. I really enjoy all the videos you make. Please feel free to create them however you like. That being said, I wish you a lovely day, be kind to yourself, and don’t believe everything you think, Dr. Elizabeth Filips.
Congratulations, Dr. Filips! 🙂 Pascal famously said, "If I'd had more time, I'd have written a shorter letter," but that doesn't mean all communications should be short. It just means they shouldn't be longer than they need to be. If you've looked at your past videos and felt like they could have been more focused and concise, then they probably could have. If that makes you want to tighten up future videos, I think that's great. As a fan, however, I also encourage you not to worry about it too much. I always feel like your videos are information-dense, and I never feel like they're wasting my time. So if *_you_* want to do shorter, more tightly-focused videos in the future, go for it, but I don't think you need to do it for *_our_* sakes. 🙂
this is my first visit here. It won't be the last. I love your presentation style ... a bit quirky (that's a compliment by the way), memorable .... and very useful. Many thanks. Just for the record, I'm a semi-retired maths tutor and aspiring author.
Congratulations Elizabeth! I always appreciate your videos, whether short or long. It’s the information, and the way it’s presented through your fast-paced talking and fun editing, that is important ❤ I love how fast you talk because it piques my interest and gets me to actually pay attention.
This video is very well summarized and i got most of the ideas you are conveying roughly (which is kinda what you are trying to encourage right, forming weak links to learn about something haha). Thanks for your insights!
As someone with a distractable brain myself, who despises the thought of letting it hold me back from my engineering dream, I have a deep appreciation for the length and concise content of this video. Congratulations Dr Filips
I found your channel 2 years ago and enjoy both the longer form videos and the occasional short. Congratulations on finishing your medical degree. That's an amazing accomplishment! Best of luck on the next phase.
I have only watched a couple of your videos but I do think that the longer format was a more “natural” pace for listening along and learning from you…and I enjoyed your personal insights and experience as I found them relatable as well as provided context for the points being made. Either way, keep up the amazing work. You are doing great. 👍🏻
CONGRATULATIONS ON BECOMING AN MD ELIZABETH!!!! I've been watching you for several years now and am amazed that you find the time to make these high quality videos all while balancing medical school, it's truly incredible. On the topic of video length, i think that you should do whatver makes you more comfortable! If i think a topic is not as relevant to me, I'll skip it. If i find a topic fascinating, I'll rewatch it multiple times. Do whatever you want, it's your channel and your safe place! Congratulations again Elizabeth, you've come so far and you're worked for so long now. Bask in the glory of your huge accomplishment!! All my love from Canada
Congrats!!! You've been helping me through my degree for about the last three years - very glad to see you make it! Thank you for all your posts and your positivity :D
You're a doctor now! Congratulations! You are my favorite TH-camr. When you release a new video, a smile arises on my face and I watch it as soon as I can. Thank you for all of your research and your willingness to share it with us.
I miss the old ones too, I love your rambling, cause it's never ever actually ramble , it's just lovely to witness , although your efforts of condensing the content is admirable. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
Congratulations on graduating from one of the toughest programs! The shorter form of this video does feel concise. Still, the concepts you teach us are usually not discussed by anyone online before (most of us are nowhere near fully reading the kind of books you discuss) so the extra explanations and examples you give us immensely help us grasp the idea. Profuse thanks for the content you share.
I hardly comment on anything but had to say, I enjoy the "rambling" videos. It feels like a natural conversation instead of a script. You have interesting thoughts and they are fun to listen to.
Congratulations!! It’s good to see all that hardwork finally pay off for you, I’ve been following you for a couple years now and this is indeed an amazing milestone. I personally prefer longer videos since I’m trying to train my attention span and I rlly love your editing so, I always feel engaged. But in the end it’s what kind of videos you enjoy making the most.
I love both the condensed and the longer form videos. There's a way of learning from both, and I honestly only think it's a good thing that you make different forms of videos. I've enjoyed for years, and genuinely appreciate and admire the knowledge, care and interest you put into your videos and us. 😊 Hugs, and big congratulations on becoming a doctor 🥳 Love from a student in Denmark
The condensed information is helpful to stay on topic. Your information has always been massively helpful for someone, who has rarely met someone similar. Details on memorization would be helpful or different ways to memorize. The books suggestions are extremely helpful, too.
Congs Dr. Eliz. It's great seeing you now as a doctor. You content when you were still a medical student was of value to me. Keep up the good work Dr . Elizabeth.
Congratulations ! Your contents make me feel seen because for the first time I have come across someone who shows and address the issues with people like me. I have burst of motivations and then total lazy days too. Thank you for your videos
Congratulations Elizabeth! I love any video you make but I prefer your longer videos. I enjoy listening to your thorough explanations in the longer videos- sometimes I take notes like I'm watching a lecture! If I don't have time, I just come back and watch where I paused it.
Congratulations on becoming a doctor! That’s an amazing achievement. I wanted to thank you for your videos, they are always so well-made, and I love how you present your research. Your editing and use of graphics really enhance the experience. I’ve enjoyed every video I’ve seen. You inspire me. keep being you! Never change for anyone but yourself.
Congratulations! One senior doctor said on my convocation ceremony that it would take just another 40 years to become a doctor. After 20 years it feels like she was right.
Loved the absording information bit at the end of the video - Not heard that idea before on having a summary, big picture at the beginning. Well done and thank you
8:40 !!! I discovered this about myself during the pandemic! And I wasn't exhausted at the end of the day like I was when I had to go into work versus working from home!
Congratulations! Well done. Love this format, I think it is even more accessible. Your past videos were always super informative and relatable. For me, both approaches are welcome.
Congratulations, Dr. Elizabeth! I love your channel and really appreciate your insights, they are always novel and creative and make me re-examine what I do as a doctor (i have graduated almost five years ago - you have such an exciting time ahead of you!) I like both short and long videos, and really enjoy your rambling.
First, and most importantly, CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I found you when you did your 'Ali's assistant' video so I know it's been some work and a bit of a road but you did it!! To your question, I'm sure I'm not the only one who prefers your longer videos. Personally, I would very much enjoy an even longer video, 45 minutes or more would be welcome. Your perspectives, connections, and presentation are unique and always make me think. Thank you for all that you do here.
Congrats on graduating! I love your longer videos! What you may perceive as rambling, many of us follow well and enjoy! Both types of videos are great!
CONGRATULATIONS! I am so proud of you Elisabeth! What an amazing achievement! I have been with your journey not quite from the beginning but a very long time and seen how far you have come! If you want my totally honest opinion I found this condensed version very interesting but hard to understand. I loved it but felt some more expansion would have helped! Basically, you can’t win! I think some of your longer explanations present a unique view
"i'm adopted now" what?! oh, i'm a doctor now. incredibly well done, elizabeth!
good lord i thought i was the only one who heard that lmfao

Which minute?
It's the way she talks. Too many breathy pauses makes it hard to understand 😅

Yes yes pleaaase

CONGRATULATIONS!
I'm glad to see that you've now graduated. Hopefully we will continue to get videos in the future.
You're one of the few youtubers where I'll pause a video repeatedly and go back in order to take notes.
Hi. What notes did you make about the memorisation secrets?

It's so great to see you again! Missed the heck out of ya!
You are way too demure Dr. Filips. You clearly have some innate talents that many of the rest of us have a hard time even understanding, much less applying.
Well, on the brighter side of things, I'm actually in California now. I hauled all my stuff cross country, from Florida 7 months ago, and I'm trying to survive this hostile landscape now.
Thank you for all your inspiration.
Much love,
Alex
Not sure if it's helpful, but: you're the only productivity channel I watch!
The idea of integrating the emotional state inside the productivity method is novel to me. (at least before watching your content)
There's nothing quite like it on TH-cam. It's like when I first learn about Deep work in ~2010.
keep it up!
Why am I cryingggg? Congratulations, Elizabeth!❤
Your videos are not too much. Love the longer format. It’s interesting
Hi will you become honest friend just friend?
What a journey.
Thanks!
Congratulations, Elizabeth! I do realize that you've "concentrated" your video and I like it. I still have a bit of an issue applying what I learn from you because you are way smarter than me and I find it difficult to actually fit what you are saying into my own daily issues
Long or short, your videos are great. As long as the information is there, the time doesn’t matter.
I love how original you are. You make me feel that life can be made simple. Eventhough I feel like drowning every day
I love both forms of videos, I enjoy your editing and the ways you incorporate art into your videos and congratulations on becoming a doctor!!
Congratulations, been watching you since the beginning, and its so great to see you achieving this milestone!
Longer is better, seriously. And i just love your videos as i can resonate so much with how you approach things.
Dang fr superb video. 13:45
Thanks for all those tips, Elizabeth.❤
Filips! 🙂
Pascal famously said, "If I'd had more time, I'd have written a shorter letter," but that doesn't mean all communications should be short.
So over the moon for you. . . congratulations Dr. Elizabeth. Love your smile and big exhale in speaking about this huge moment.
Congratulations on graduating!!! Thanks for sharing your tips! I like watching your short videos like these.
CONGRATULATIONS!! I've been watching your videos for a year now, and I've learnt so much from them, thank you so much for sharing your knowledge!
Well done and thank you
Congratulations on your milestone-well earned! I'm a fan of your work, and I'm open to both short- and long-form formats.
congrats ellizabeth
You are the only youtuber who is me. Everything from here sticks. Everything can be proved from my experiencce.
8:40 !!! I discovered this about myself during the pandemic! And I wasn't exhausted at the end of the day like I was when I had to go into work versus working from home!
The ending was so beautiful!! I miss your rants, I feel relaxed and comfort.
Congratulations Dr Filips. Having completed that accomplishment whilst sharing your knowledge was no small feat.
Congratulations! Well done. Love this format, I think it is even more accessible. Your past videos were always super informative and relatable. For me, both approaches are welcome.
I always feel heard when you speak. That bit about not knowing when the motivation will hit ... Spot on.
Congratulations, Dr. Elizabeth! I love your channel and really appreciate your insights, they are always novel and creative and make me re-examine what I do as a doctor (i have graduated almost five years ago - you have such an exciting time ahead of you!)
I like both short and long videos, and really enjoy your rambling.
Congratulations 🎓🥳 I love your videos. Long or short, I love them all!
