  • Last video we took this logic gate configuration to translate from a decimal number 5 to a binary 101. In this video we want to connect a logic gate configuration to translate the binary 101 back into a signal that could be thought of as a 5 in decimal. So how would you configure the gates?
    Recall 1 equals on high true and 0 equals off low false.
    Hint for an invertor it take the signal and outputs the opposite so 1 input is 0 out put and 0 input is 1 output
    For an and function it take multiple inputs and checks to see if all inputs are a 1 and then will out put a 1. All other combination of inputs result in a 0
    So we would make the logic digram like this. It take the 2nd digit 0 and inverts it to a 1 then all inputs are put through an and gate. This will output a signal that could be process as a 5 in decimal when the binary 101 is fed into it.
