  • Ateru has a rich heritage on both her wolf mother’s and coyote father’s sides. She strives to live up to her mother’s legacy, but only sees herself with her father’s weaknesses.
Ateru will face many challenges due to her heritage, and she will be faced with Wolf Quest’s ultimate challenges. She will be an Iron Coywolf, forced to take only a poor mate, whom she cannot form a proper pack with due to their rejection of her heritage. There may be yet more obstacles for her to overcome in the future as she attempts to obtain what her mother sacrificed everything for: A family.

It's so nice seeing the pups running around! Too bad they'll have to leave once they're older :(

      Yeah :c
But we can grow them and still potentially follow their stories ^^

do you have any tips for hunting the baby ungulates? I always have a hard time trying to find them

Yes! I have way too much time devoted to these things lol
First, if the problem is finding the mothers, you can find them on the wind with scent mode. They will appear as "mother and baby herd". I loosely follow that since I more often encounter them when I'm not looking for them lol
Once you've found the mother(s), listen for the music. This is the #1 thing that helps (though it can be overwritten by other music types, as you can see in this vid). If you move out of range, it stops and you need to listen to find it again.
Once you've found the mom, remember the baby won't be too close to start. I tend to work out in spiral patterns, so I'll start at the closest patches and work out systematically. Some people will pee in patches they have already checked for visual confirmation, but I don't bother since just spiraling out from mom works for me. Sometimes I will mark mom on the map if foilage is dense as a point to stay within so I don't get confused if moms overlap.
Last but just as important is watching mom's behavior. If you attack mom low enough, she has a chance to go stand over her baby to defend it (she could also just run off). I don't usually like to do that, since the point for me in going for newborns is avoiding conflict with full HP ungulates (which moms always are). If you get close though, mom will rush over to defend her baby. This could be coincidence, but I've noticed sometimes when I'm "cold" mom will lay down more, whereas if I'm close to the baby mom is also more attentive.
Ultimately it's easier to hunt on plains since the grass patches are easier to see, and aren't hidden in trees/buildings. Good luck!

@@FrostyLassthank you so much! I’m an avid wolf quest player as well, but am still figuring things out. This helps a lot!!
