Thanks for the build update man! Thinking about the minus resistance on infinity how does the paladin self wielding infinity compare to a traditional dual dream?
Great guide, all I would add is that at the cost of Shael-Thul-Amn "Peace" is a really solid option for SSF. Personally, pushing through the game, I opt to run a Wand of Lower Resist and just skip/reroll maps that spawn with a lot of Light immunes; often the light immune monster will only be 100-105 rez so the LR wand will break them (ie Grand Vizier). Personally I would like to see LF toned back to elevate the Self-wield infinity to the BIS build for a Zon. There is such a nice progression from Fire Bow through Light Java into Infinity Spear (which is Ubers ready) that it makes me want it to be the capstone build.
Yea, I teetered back and forth about mentioning peace for this - but felt duress was the better budget option to mention for the hell difficulty wall of unfortunate immunity :( (and yea, that was an oversight not mentioning the LR wands - they really are handy for early breaks - which while not going to make it speedy, will make it a bit faster than jab alone) And same here - though I'm not sure how I'd tone LF back to make it fair... each option has a drawback. and Cold/Lightning is a fairly classic build too for bypassing immunities, though I'm hard pressed to have an end-game version to recommend (since you usually settle into one or the other) - Fire/Poison is another fun one (not huge on Fire/Lightning after mid-game due to having to cut one or both short on synergies)
@@Alzorath I've put together a system where skills only have 2 synergies to both diversify build options and encourage taking a QOL skill; 60-40 on something like the necro feels pretty good and gives the necro multiple viable build-paths. Most skills could have their synergy bonuses adjusted accordingly or in the case of Fury, not.
