Years back here in Portland Oregon, I was a semi driver working around the airport. Only one day before I was going with the family to the coast for a week, I happened to notice two VERY familiar boxes on the side of the road. Recognizing these as seafood boxes, I pulled over and tossed them in the back of the truck. When I finally opened them I was very pleased to see restaurant quality (cleaned) Dungeness crab haves carefully stacked in each box. As I recall each box weighed about 30 pounds, with some of that weight as ice packs. Needless to say, EVERYONE pigged out on Dungeness crab for the next week! Best find ever.
@@MobyDuckseafoods I knew the very loading dock they came from, having been there many times, so I 'should' have returned them. My love of Dungeness crab got the better of me that day.
Yeah glad you followed the crab after the urchin eats video...looks much more appetizing. Look up Tasmanian crayfish (lobster), yummo. Brownie points with the mum is good, but gotta look after the missus as well lol
Good stuff man, I found that pork sausage works incredibly well compared to other baits for dungees. It’s the oiliest meat you can use I usually get it from a cheap grocery store. Even the Vienna canned sausages work like crazy paired with chicken thighs
So if I had no experience, no boat license, etc where would I start to get on the path towards commercial diving/fishing? ( I know that’s probably a long answer but the short version to save you some time) 😂
That’s what I’m talkin about! These episodes ain’t complete until Jason starts shadow boxing. I’d hate to be on the receiving end of one of those punches though 😂😂😂
Dang! I hate watching this! I'm from San Destin, Florida and we have only blue crabs. Stone crabs are too far south. I absolutely love Dungeness crabs. This video made my mouth water big time. You are so lucky to be able to catch and cook those crabs.
Are there any weird/mysterious islands or places in your area that you can only get to by using your boat? Just curious, because the surroundings in the video, especially the mountains, look interesting.
I know its a huge discussion on which way to cook crab but you can clean them first, then steam. Gotta get a steaming basket for that pot but the water will come to a boil a helluva lot faster as you don't need that much. Both ways are great!!
You know it's poppin off when the tornado arrives! Haha! That's some good stuff right there man. I know what the crab tastes like but not the geoducks and urchins.... what do they taste like?
🤣 almost took my cooker out! Urchins was real salty and weird texture geoduck depending on how you cook it I like to deep fry it or make chowder out of it. I’m gonna make a video cooking geoduck up to
@@MobyDuckseafoods well you guys keep it up on your new chapter and don’t give up. You not always gonna have a nice paved road ahead you will come up to some rough potholes but that’s what life is about boys. Keep up the good spirit 🙏🏻😎🤙🏻
I bet someone stole the crab trap there's been a ton of left with those my buddy has been hit hard 1 or 2 pods each time he drops so he knows it's not the current and he's been crabbing his whole life its how he survives so it's been a costly theft and cops can't do shit all ugh 😑 😒
Ya your probably right last time I went by them I only seen 1 I started with 6 haha I even checked one of them and the bait jar was missing it’s lid kinda weird
It's a big deal to check your depth with the amount of line you have I recall shrimping next to a huge Cliff drop off I thought I was good with 400 ft of line 400 ft of line doesn't do the trick in 800 feet of water thanks for the videos I appreciate them
Way to take care of your mom bro. That’s was awesome. Looks like she had a great day.
Ya bro she was stoked haha

What a great way to spend the day. It’s nice to see you care enough about your mother to give her a wonderful day also.

Best thing is to get to No somebody that does it. Toughest thing is getting on a boat I was fortunate my dad did it then got me into it.
Try cleaning before u cook. Clean white body meat. Just found your channel love it, will be ordering chowder as soon as it’s available
Wonderful work
Thank u!
Love the fishing videos guys
Thanks so much!
Love it man but where is Jeremy :D?
Thanks man!he went south for the winter he will be back in March
I've taught several people about the fork trick. Works better than a cracker, often the leg sections are too soft for the cracker.

I know its a huge discussion on which way to cook crab but you can clean them first, then steam. Gotta get a steaming basket for that pot but the water will come to a boil a helluva lot faster as you don't need that much. Both ways are great!!
