Ha ha ha ha....
@@Gigdiarychannel You do realize that what they do in MMA is mostly either brawling or just punching/kicking, which is included in ju-jutsu. Do your research please and do not be biased. Jujutsu is the origins of many martial arts, while outdated, it can still be effective. Muay Thai is not the "Superior" martial art it is just the best for the rules that they play with, Aikidio for example can easily dislocate your shoulder if you resist, or make you blind for the rest of your life. Brazillian jujitsu is known for their very brutal moves, breaking bones, maybe dislocating something. Judo can make you paralyzed if you land with your back on a hard surface. However, none of this is allowed because, it's a sport, not survival. Muay Thai, is indeed a very brutal martial art however. With their powerful blows, knee's and elbows. But in the end, it is the artist not the art. "Self defense" is usually just one big swing from a drunk dude. And the chances that someone who wants to pick a fight with you enters a boxing guard is just ridiculous. If too brutal techniques are used, have fun in jail. And please, respect martial arts. (P.s. Fights in general is something to avoid as you never know what your opponent might do to you, you could end up with a flesh wound or a bullet in you. If they want to hurt you, you run. If you can't THEN defend yourself.)
@@Gigdiarychannel They weren't speaking if this is viable in a fight or not, they were talking about her understanding of anatomy in order to execute the specific movement.
Guys keep this in mind It's better to know something than to know nothing. I'm sure some will say "That won't work", "That's not realistic", "She'll be killed in a real attack". That's why it's called a demonstration. And I'm sure you all know that an important part of martial arts training is conditioning. A strong body makes strong offense and defense. I get it combat sports such as MMA, Boxing, wrestling, and BJJ has shown what works and what doesn't work......against a highly skilled opponent who knows who they're fighting. Real violence is chaotic, unpredictable, and traumatic. And the ones committing the violence have little to no training. And at the end of the day I would rather know some form of martial arts that would give me a chance to survive a violent encounter.

I love how she’s just calmly explaining how to defend ourselves while she throws him around the room
I did the pull over the back and slam to the ground move to this 6’1 guy who was my partner in Martial Art class and he gasped for air because the impact was so hard and made the sound this guy made in video. I remember giggling inside 😂
If you giggle at people gasping air, do you laugh at people dying?
RIP - that's my grandmother. she was a lovely person. She exercised EVERY DAY until her death in her 80's.. She married a "rich Turk" according to newspapers and lived in Turkey for close to 60 years. Had 3 children: One boy (my dad) and two girls. She was indeed very fit and had a strong character. I think she had a good life and she was loved by all her children and grandchildren - there are 7 of us :)
Omg thats ur grandmother? She looks like a wonderful and beautiful woman u shoulda be proud 😊

How loverly to have this film of her when she was a young woman - she seemed to be a very nice lady

By the end, he was thoroughly broken
I was definitely thinking "let's see what wacky things they came up with back then!" only to straight up see an Ude Garami and a Tomoe Nage of all things. In fact, Tomoe Nage in high heels is genius lol
As a judoka, never in a million years did I expect her to pull of a high heel Tomoe Nage but I'm all here for it lol

Judo.
I felt bad for laughing my ass off, but the thump the poor guy makes when he lands is hilarious. They could have got him a mat, at least!
luis jorge no jujutsu
Seriously knows her stuff, that technique of pushing up on the shoulders takes away the force of the push, allowing a better throw. 👏
Which part is it?
@@Gigdiarychannel
Most of this is physics based.
Leverage, centre of gravity.
Physics does not go out of the window in a street fight, AT ALL.
And most people who attack you in the street are cowardly scumbags and not MMA fighters.
I find it hilarious that you believe anyone who engages in street fights are at the leve of trained MMA Kick Boxers....
It's obvious you've never been in a street fight OR you're one of those who does go around bullying others picking targets you know are weaker and smaller than you.
Until one day someone uses one of these techniques and it will be you going out of a window.
But yeah. if you want to believe Physics goes out of the window in a street fight.
Good for you.
@@FlipTheBard the video says self defence tutorial so that’s what it is about
The best self-defence tutorial, I'll definitely check it out
Guys keep this in mind
It's better to know something than to know nothing. I'm sure some will say
"That won't work", "That's not realistic", "She'll be killed in a real attack".
Litteraly what my dad said 😂 I showed him the video and he kept saying "yea right"
Yeah that wouldn't work in all cases if it's by surprise and they haven't tried it before.
The effectiveness of this in an actual fight is doubtful, however from an athletic perspective the grapples she pulls off are legitimately impressive
@@TonyGModesto the effectiveness of these are tried and tested in judo and jujutsu, the problem is the fact that you actually need to practice doing these, and not just copy them from watching
@@FakenameStevensMost attackers aren't expecting the victim to fight back in any way that isn't "desperately try to get away" either, so these could work to surprise them, thus earning the victim enough time to get away.
I think they should have taught him how to fall properly before trying to throw him on a hard surface.
I feel like they just found a random guy off the street to volunteer and didn’t tell him what was going on 😂
he seems to have some falling skills tho. At 1:39 you can see him using his right arm to roll after getting tomeo-nage'd. Overall, looks like someone who legit does judo
hes literally one of the first major practitioners of judo in the uk, hes fine

If you Google May Whitley Jujitsu, a story comes up on Mental floss. Apparently May married a rich Turk in 1935, converted to Islam, and disappeared into the mists of time.
She married him and moved to Izmir, Turkey where she was apparently a housewife and had 2 daughters and 1 son. She died on 11 July 2001.
I love how her grandson commented just above this comment. @TurgutKalfaoglu
I really do hope this isn’t true, as that would be a horribly sad ending to her life. To convert to… I won’t even say it… and marry one of… THOSE! I would never be so crass as to believe such obvious slander on her name.
