A year and a half ago I started wearing drawstring ponytails over my natural bun as my protective style. The first ponytail I ordered was the wrong color. It was two shades too light. I have finally been able to color that ponytail two shades darker by using box dye. I just put the color on the ponytail and let it sit for 48 hours before rinsing it out. The color came out perfect. It is possible to use box dye on synthetic hair, you just have to leave it on for a long time.
Should we pour the developer in the bottle 1st since you had to use a specific amt, because when you poured it with the color the color was already taken up to a specific line?
Thank you so much for this video. I am not familiar with synthetic hair at all. I have decided to start using drawstring ponytails for my protective styling. For many years I would keep my own hair in a bun to protect my ends. That works very well because my hair grew half way down my back. Now I want to use ponytails as my protective styling. I accidentally bought one ponytail the wrong color. I bought a box of the dark and lovely in the color I want which is natural black. I am using the developer that comes in the box. I was wondering how long to leave it on the ponytail? Not using any heat.
@@CynAiyanyiThanks, I am just now seeing your reply. My first ponytail that I bought over a year ago was two shades too light. I really like the ponytail, I am still trying to darken it a little. I think if I leave the box dye on it for a few days it might work. I saw another video that showed if you leave the box dye on for a long time it does darken the color. 🤞🏽
Didn’t u suggest not to use the 40 developer and use instead the 30? Well I used the 30 developer and waited like 35-40 min and I can’t really see the difference. I think I should have used the developer that came in the box.
@@CynAiyanyi I didn’t kno it was only 20. I’m going to have to bleach it first then add the box color , which btw is the dark and lovely which is the brown sable. But thanks for letting me know.✌🏽

Can you use the clear developer with this color to?
yes it does the exact same thing as cream
Looks great! Just wondering why u used 40 developer but didn’t recommend it at the end?
That’s all I had and 40 can damage if you don’t know how to use it
How come you put the wig under the dryer?
Im trying this right now hopefully the color comes out like yours but i have 30vlm developer 😥
Did it work for you? I also have 30 developer
@@lilyankay2116 it should work 40 makes it process fast 30 just won’t be as fast so will need more time to process
Will the permanent dye last longer
I’m trying this right now thank you
Did it work?
How come you didn’t use the original developer and used the other one?
i explained it in the video but i wanted a higher developer so it could lift higher

You always do really good work
I appreciate that!
Why didn’t you use the developer? And if I am dying blonde bundles do I just need the color
i switched out the developer for a stronger developer
Does this work on synthetic wigs?

@@CynAiyanyi Noted. Thank you.
