Shakur's left hand wasn't hurt, He was just scared to throw it. He tried setting it up with his "probing jab" in the beginning, but quickly abandoned his signature set up after Shakur's realized that De Los Santos is not onlymore heavy handed than him, but faster too. De Los Santos team actually did an amazing job "defensively", but offense was non-existant, Edwin actually had a chance of winning this fight if they had a better offensive plan and practiced cutting off the ring more and focus on the body attack and breakdown👍
Offensively he should’ve fought the way he did rounds 10-12 from the bell

And if you're gonna bring up Compubox atleast know how to read the number, De Los Santos "threw" more than double of what Shakur threw the "landed" punches is the difference, Shakur won by mainly landing jabs. Edwin was less "scared" than Shakur, becauee he threw more, but was it wasn't enough, definitely not. If Edwin's team had a better offensive plan, they could've made it a draw easily.

But if you are going to be a real champion, you will do what it takes to win or not loose like Conceicao did in his fight versus someone he would virtually loose to at every outcome. But expected of Santo, because he was to prospect and head liner, he did nothing to prove he was on top. Shit, don't be taking like, talk to a real boxing coach or someone who boxes professionally, you putting your raw emotions into your fav fighter. Call it like it is, Shakur fought scared, and there's nothing else to it. This is the type of fighter he is. If his not fighting someone who can't hurt him or above certain level, this is what we'll see from him every single time. Forget about his excuses. He wasn't sick or injured, that's just the only excuse he could come up with. Way to become a ppv attraction.

tim bradley hit the nail on the head. yes this was a boring performance from shakur, but if you reflect on the valdez, herring and yoshino performances, something wasn’t right with him tonight and it’s totally normal to have an off night. as usual, his defense was absolutely immaculate, but the offense was non-existent. valdez is a better opponent than de los santos so people need to stop acting like shakur got “exposed”. i truly believe all his issues were internal, shakur was his own worst enemy tonight.
the real problem lays with the casual fanbase, and the deluded people who try call themselves “real fans”. shakur took complete and utter accountability for a bad performance, seemed resentful that he disappointed the fans, and all people have done is write him off. honestly, what more do you want? he took accountability and he knows he’s better than that. this is EXACTLY why the big fights done happen anymore. a fighter has a bad performance, or loses, and all of a sudden their value is completely decimated. THATS the reason why people now “protect their 0”. if you all want the big fights to happen, encourage fighters to bounce back when they lose or put on a lackluster performance, not disrespect them.
all in all, once again i completely agree with tim bradley, yes it was a boring performance, but shakur shouldn’t be defined by this fight. he is still defensively impeccable and once he bounces back the world will see. if you resent him now, stand on your business and don’t come crawling back acting like a fan when he’s undisputed.
