Increasing the AOE for Nigel, increases the range that he throws his star before it returns to him - works well with those increased the penetrationyo like picking up, which means it hits more guys (typically on the way back) before the star disappears/breaks. Nigel's base is 5. Also, bouncing happens after all possible penetrations have occurred.
Bullet storm benefits too, and bounce gets converted to pierce if the projectile can't change course to a limit of 10 pierce total. So until corkscrew bullet he actually stayed under/at the limit.
I have a couple tips for you. First off, if you go in your settings you can turn on always showing your stats. If the game starts the chug you can also turn off explosions or damage numbers or both. With the way pierce and bounce works, bounce only happens after you are done piercing. This character starts with 5 base pierce, and no his attack speed does not increase if you stand still, you need an item for that
For the stats, from memory you can press shift or ctrl or something at any time and it will show them as well if you don't want it on your screen the whole time for some reason.
The character has a base of 5 pierce so the pierce actually does effect your stats RCE. The bouncing bullets work as pierce on the trip back. None of those matter though since you didnt increase the range of your bullets so the pierce didnt matter.

I love RCE At 0:33 he says Nigel Nado once then comes out with a t shirt, 0:46 the butt dude+minion, 1:02 now we’ve got a boss, you can tell they are bosses because they have the health bar. Ignoring the fact that “butt dude” is also a boss and has health bar and apparently isn’t a boss, 0:58 gains another health so he won’t be on one health anymore then at 2:10 goes right back down to one, 3:01 that sounds yes!, the whole game before 3:15 he tres to regen health. Then the second he accepts that he’s never going to go above half health he picks an upgrade that helps him if he is below half health and only then regents back to half. Then I’m immediately after getting that upgrade he upgrades his health so it’s harder to use the other upgrade, 4:00 comments on how it’s slightly annoying to pick up coins and then immediately discards the coin pickup range item, 4:10 comments on how Nigel just wants to sit still to use the faster attack speed when in reality he needs to stop to shoot, 4:22 picks a shots pierce through another enemy even though they already Pierce through every enemy within the range, 4:47 picks a projectiles bounce upgrade then immediately comments on how they don’t even bounce. And that’s just in the first five minutes.
I have to constantly remind myself that this is being played by an *Engineer* and not a *Gamer TM* The brain wave function is quite similar, but not the same lol

All characters except Serra benefit from AoE with just their base weapon. Nigel gets more range on his throw Ollin gets larger explosions Natoko increases the range that is considered close
I find it funny that because of RCE playing bounty of one I was recommended DangerouslyFunny's channel.... and I feel like they're doing exactly what the other is advertising. DF has the stat screen open on the side and MinMaxes (Engineers) his builds and RCE just does random funnies xD
I love your content, RCE, but if I might offer some advice on Bounty of One... The color of the upgrade depicts the rarity, but rare doesn't mean good. A blue damage upgrade will be better than a grey one, but that doesn't make the grey one bad. If you have 2 gold upgrades and 1 grey one, that doesn't mean you should pick the gold upgrades, necessarily. If you're building an attack speed build, you're better off taking the grey attack speed increase instead of the gold upgrade that lowers attack speed. As a side note, you can access the options from the menu screen and select, "Always Show Stats." This will let you see your stat levels, real-time, in game on screen. You can see how good grey upgrades can be, while you play, that way.

You should play Vampire Survivors. It's like this, but you don't have to stand still to attack. You just get automatic attacks, and you can also combine weapons. Also, it's Castlevania-themed.
If the devs of the game watch these videos, I think the best April Fools joke you could do would be to swap the color pallets for the rewards. Like the legendaries are the dull gray ones, the epic ones are blue, and the basic ones are gold. Something like that. Do that and we'll see how confused people like RCE gets when he goes for the unbelievable 3 golds and a purple first pull and yet he only got 10 extra attack or 0.1 attack speed. This is the most architect thing to ever architect in the history of architect. You have lost your engineering card and will need to work real hard to gain it back.
The throwing stars will bounce if they run out of pierce on the way out, but once they boomerang and start heading back they begin to hone in on you which causes bounce to act the same as pierce.
RCE there is a setting allowing you to see the stats of your damage speed crit chance ect ect also the most effective Strat is to keep adding crit chance and crit damage and damage is the main way to survive through the game
Oh dear. The ninja stars already gain infinite pierce and do not bounce. It's ok, we'll chalk it up to the game being made by an architect and therefore not providing enough functional information :p
nigel's weapon has a preset pierce, and dont bounce. they cant pierce more. they go out a certain distance and then return, no matter how many enemies are in the way.
For all that people are criticizing RCEs upgrade choices, he did kinda stumble into the perfect upgrade for his build. All projectiles, including those from bulletstorm, have a pierce/bounce cap of 10. Nigel start with 5 and until he got corkscrew bullet near the end he was under/at the limit. So his bulletstorm was hitting the max amount of targets before vanishing.

Oh god not taking that 60% crit...he'd already taken 2 crit damage upgrades, he would have gained RIDICULOUS damage! X being current damage before upgrade, it would be 65% chance to deal 2X, 35% chance to deal 1/2X, while being able to scale the 65% chance by 50-200% per upgrade. With luck, it 2 upgrades, he could have been dealing more than triple damage, more likely dealing 2.5X or so.
This video was like getting a raid shadow legends ad for 3 minutes straight. I had to skip a lot because it hurt too much. Finished the video in 4 minutes.

I think taking health above five is a waste. Yes you can take more hits. But by the time you are really in trouble of using five health you’re already swarmed and it doesn’t matter how much health you have even with a huge creek and DPS build your dead anyways. I have never seen anybody have above a health and make it farther than anybody that makes a heavy damage build

@@Krell356 Corkscrew actually stacks after bounce and pierce and is not counted as part of that 10, so with corkscrew included you can have up to 12.

False, bounce is meaningless, but pierce does affect him. He starts with 5 pierce, so adding more does help with crowds.

Shots pierce first, then bounce. Turn on your info stats window in settings, it really helps.

RCE when using Nigel 3:52 is a better power up it makes your shuriken shoot far
