I hope the video was clear that there's no problem at all if you buy the Sigenergy 'Sigenstor' inverter and battery combo. The issue is only with the stand alone 'hybrid' inverter. I doubt Western Power will ever change their policy of only allowing CEC approved batteries on their network and I very much doubt Sigenergy will ever get their battery CEC approved because it has no BMS inside. Buying the combo Sigenstor inverter + battery solves the problem as the CEC have approved that as an 'all in one' inverter and battery in various combinations with the BMS inside the inverter.

Would always be preferable if regulatory authorities used some common sense, yes.
