I want to buy or build me a 16ft dump trailer but cant decide if to get a goose neck or bumper pull. I have seen a few cheap trailers but did not like the finish of the paint and welds.

It's sickening to me, because it the employees hired. They don't care, because it's not their own & don't have to pay to get it fixed. They just put it back, with all types of stuff sticking up, SMH!
I reached out to Top Shelf and talked to a lady about ordering one and she said to text her what I wanted and I’ve yet to hear back from them. That was around a month ago. The retail on that is higher than a Diamond C.
That's wired. Call them and see what's up, I believe you. I just never had a bad experience calling. Even when I needed a warranty repair, they picked up right away! And I don't think so. Add the cost of all the add-ons and a Diamond C will be more expensive

@JackofHaulTrades I don't have one yet. I expect, I will get a 3500 4x4 long bed. No, extra cab. The first truck will be gas. I will get an old government truck for cheap. My bills are under $1,000 a month no house payments and no credit cards.
Got one like that really wish I had went with 4' walls though it would be easier to load but been loading mostly from back. Loving the electric tarp and hydronic jack. Went 16.5 so I can haul 16' lumber. Had a problem with tarp hanging on the spreader gate but just used large zip ties to close the back of tarp in little
check out southland trailers. not sure if they sell down in florida as theyre made in canada. i bought the SL714-16k which comes with 8k axles and 9 ton hoist cylinder. its built to haul more than regular trailers. its built like dump truck boxes which weigh less with more capacity. i bought from a small dealer in my area which was a great experience. i have the other common name brands in my area but the dealerships than sold them were a-holes and arrogant. i swear if it rains they might drown. plus the other trailers....junk. for brand new trailers, they shouldnt have large rust spots on them for what theyre asking you to pay like big wrecks (big tex). if i ever buy another trailer of any kind it will be a southland from my local dealer which i paid $11,150 including the spare tire. after the state got their cut, it was closer to $14,000.
8 lug hub is 7k lbs . where are you getting 8k? I asked Dimond c for a remote control like the one you have , on my custom dump box , he said, "we don't have those opitions, go buy a dump truck". thanks for showing us the "remote". also are you going to add Jack's by the rear doors and 8 ft ramps?

Hey Brother do i need a DOT # I have a GMC 2500 with Duramax diesel crew cab similar to you i noticed its the same regulations in most states around 10,001 or more they say i need it but maybe not its the same in florida and georgia

@@JackofHaulTrades Maybe you could use a board less than 12 inches wide (maybe a 2x4) so that you would still have the sacrificial wood there but still have the easier loading with your mini skid.
@@JackofHaulTrades Another thought I just had regarding your comments on the exposed arms of the tarp (and I think I saw in a more recent vid that one of the arms did get a slight dent)...you could put a 2x12 off of the front corner and cut it on an angle so that vertically it is a little bit higher than the arm of the tarp so that material or your bucket will hopefully hit the wood first instead of the tarp arm. The trailer is a really nice looking unit.
I just bought a Diamond C I paid 16.5 I got every option u got except the jack and that was the main option I wanted. I couldn't find one with a hydraulic jack with in 12 hours from me. personally I believe Diamond C makes the best trailer. but u stole that trailer for 9k. would I pay 18k for that trailer no but I pay close to that n its worth every penny. I been following you for a little bit now I see how you're scaling your business. I'm proud of u. I got a 14foot telescopic dump trailer with 4 foot walls with the 2x6 on top. I got all the options u do with the swing doors and the the drop post in the back that you forgot to order. I would post pics if I could.
I had the worst luck with my diamond C . granted it was a flat bed but I won't buy another one of their products. I had it less than a year and I was doing brakes and bearings already, lights were going out on it. absolute junk

I paid 18k with loan on my 16' dump trailer its a down 2 earth. Must say it's a good dump trailer. The dump trailer you got looks like a tank great buy.
@@JackofHaulTrades no they got mad because I didn’t accept delivery of a 14k trailer that the vin sticker clearly states it was 14k and that was also missing the spare tire and the lock you said to mention to get free. The Sr owner told me to buy from somewhere else instead of fixing the problem. That let me know they were trying to get me. The trailer looked like a blem honestly. The wall wasn’t fully connected to the floor on one side and the finish had blemishes everywhere.
Thats a really nice trailer. But this is waaaay to much talking to not get any info on type of trailer, Hole trailer pricing, nor where can we get it from. You gave small part prices but nothing useful as a over all hole. We already know what features we want and don't want so no need to go down a rabbit hole. But im in Ga looking for the same set up 16ft with 4 ft walls. And still don't know the load capacity of this one either. Other than that decent video.

Hey brother! Yes, the axles cost extra. The bigger the axles, the more you can tow! De rating allows you to stay under cdl!

You are supposed to put wood boards down the sides. They are sacrificial so you don't beat up the top of the trailer.
Yeah, I'll probably end up doing that one of these days! But the reason I went with the 3ft walls was so I can load easy with my Mini-Skid

no it is not if you understand geometry try dumping your wheel barrel from the point of a scissor jack. That is why dump trucks use telescoping.

For a basic trailer, they should be. Now, if you get upgraded tires, frame, and some other stuff it ads up quickly
