Great review - very helpful. You’ve answered all my questions. I was initially concerned that they were too flimsy to buy for $30 (Cdn), but having watched it a few times, I’ve ordered a couple. I actually think it looks quite cool, and that’s a gorgeous ink with your broad nib. Thank you very much.
Maybe the bending cap is gonna help for cracks... so if you accidentally drop it it bends but doesn't crack... though one must pay attention because it is more fragile in the hands...
I have a cheap Parker Vector which has lasted me for ages. I love its slimness and the smooth writing action. Based on that I was thinking of purchasing a Waterman Allure. However, the TWSBI brand looks really interesting. I am tempted to get a TWSBI Eco.
I've been writing with fp's since the mid sixties--does that make me a beginner? I guess so 'cause this guy really likes the GO, especially with the stub. Use it constantly with my Lamy 2000 from the 70's.
If you are open to a blue that is a bit on the darker/grey-ish-ier side with a pretty extreme red sheen you have to check out Diamine Skull & Roses ink. It's a Germany exclusive... so I don't know if you get it for a fair price outside of Germany/Europe.
Jake’s Take If you are at least a little bit into cars... Visit the Museum of Porsche and the Museum of Mercedes-Benz. I don't if there are descriptions in English but I think there should be some. Take a bored German with you just in case :D I would like to visit them but it's pretty far away from me. Says the dude that lives 200 miles away from it to the guy from America that wouldn't even get out of the state he lives in if he goes 200 miles in one direction. (Now please don't tell me you live close to a border... You would ruin my comparison :P )
You really have to know what you are doing with some fountain pens. My FIRST fountain pen was a pelikan m400 I bought for myself and boy do I regret that.
I agree with the cap being unattractive, but uncapped it looks and feels great. If the cap were the same colour as the barrel it might actually look better.
You said the filling system reminds you of the Vac700, but that's wrong: internally, it is a piston, like a syringe (which creates vacuum on the upstroke, in contrast to plunger fillers like Vac700 which create vacuum on downstroke), so it really is more like the 580 or Eco, only that you push instead of screw. Thank you! Let me know how you like them!
i just ordered my first Go. i ordered a broad nib and i agree it writes great. my Twisbi Eco T and the Go really two of my favorites to draw with now.
good review you seemed prepared and i like how am not the only one in the constest reviewing a pen good luck man
Yeah, seems to be mostly knives. Good luck to you as well!

That's a good point!
I really like the softer colored plastic, especially the blue color!

I can definitely recommend the Eco. It's excellent.
I'm happy with my TWSBI Go (stub). The only thing I dislike is the girth, which I find too great.

love it so impressed with the broad nib beats all Lamy mid range and TWSBI eco. Great video
I just bout a blue one and I really like it-I find the design cool, not at all ughy, it is one of a kind!
My wife thinks the same thing! I'm just not a big fan.
Just ordered the newer clear version. It arrives Monday. 😀
Awesome! Hope you like it!

I'm planning on going to Germany next year, so I may wait until then to pick up a bottle. Thanks for the recommendation!
Jake’s Take No Problem. To which area are you planning to go to?
Mainly Stuttgart. We also have some family in France right at the border, so we're going to that area as well.

I don't live close to a border. I live close to two! We may check that out. Thanks for the recommendation!
Love the Pilot but, i don’t think it’s in the same category simply based on ink capacity. Great write up. Time to give Goulet more of my money.
Thanks! And yeah, that's generally my reaction to anything Twsbi makes.
Thanks for a balanced review of the pen. I hope you can also do a review of the moonman wancai. More power!
It'll be out soon! Thanks!
It was an unboxing video of the Moonman Wancai...
I like broads. Broads are great!

At some point, a TWSBI will be so affordable, we will get money when we buy one.
What is that ink color again?
Pilot Iroshizuku Ama-Iro
Fortune favors the bold!
The cheaper plastic makes this pen more durable than the ECO. ECO feels like it will crack by just looking at it

Yeah, I think a consistent color would look better.
I guess Twsbi went
Four years and there are no new colors...

Got not enough love, they released swipe instead

I'm aware. I was referring to the act of filling the pen. Actually pushing down the plunger and the rush of ink in the barrel.
Fountian pen AND knives..!! Subscribed. 🤣
Thanks! Hope you enjoy it!
@@JakesTake loved it.
