Helpful video! I am New to karting. Other than Lubing the chain, and greasing the bearings & axles, anything else that is needed in terms of lubrication / cleaning?
Very helpful video. Two questions what kart stand do you have and what GoPro mount for your seat strut. Have you had any issues with it? I have seen similar ones on forums with mixed reviews.
Kart stand is just a typical scissor stand by KartLift and the GoPro mount is just a cheap Amazon mount I got for about $25. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08GKZNTHK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I wrapped some electrical tape around the strut first before mounting to give the clamp something to bite into and it hasn't moved at all, very solid.
@@KorsasportKartingDevelopment also how hard is it to maintain a ka100 because I have my kart with a team as I am new to owning a kart but do you think it is pretty easy to maintain as a beginner?
@@aydendelrio5226 Super easy. It's one of the most fool-proof engines to maintain. Clutch is bulletproof so just needs cleaning every now and then, otherwise just need to basically change spark plugs and rebuild a carb (also easy once you learn which gaskets go in which order, plenty of videos showing how to do it). It's a great and simple engine package.
@@KorsasportKartingDevelopment I currently and paying for storage transport and a mechanic for around 500$ per day, how much do track days cost normally if I do it all myself?
I saw your third rear axle support was loose, what difference does it make in the setup keeping it thight or loose? You didnt mention it in your setup video.
The third bearing will stiffen the axle slightly, so in most cases, I use it as a fine tuning item if I need slightly more stiffness in the rear but not enough to warrant an axle change. You can fine tune it even further by running it with 2 or 4 bolts too. It's a good tool to test if you need to go stiffer in the rear, without all the hassle and commitment of throwing in a different axle. 90% of the time I run it loose.

I like after very other race clean the clutch parts with brake cleaners and lube some parts with white lithium grease and or Tri flow
Great video! Is there a specific brand of starting fluid you use, Or will any old cheap stuff do fine?
Cheap is good, you'll be going through cans of the stuff if you start using it, so cheaper is better.
Great video. Any advise on carb / engine prep if any?
Rebuild the carb with a fresh kit before the weekend, put a new spark plug in there, make sure the engine runs fine on the stand, and send it.
