Enjoyed this vlog especially since I’ve started shopping at Aldi recently. I was slightly amused when you were going over the prices of the meat The joints were priced per 1lb. I thought you were going to get one and find it was about $10 😂 Aldi is very random but I like how I can just about manage to walk around it. I find supermarkets too exhausting these days.
Oh that would have been funny, that’s something I would do 😂😂 I was probably reading the prices all wrong! Good job I stuck to the bangers and mash! You’re right about the big supermarkets, it’s overstimulating sometimes isn’t it! X
Loved this vlog ,what a great idea ,it really brings it home how much more expensive food in America is in comparison to the UK . You have such good will power I would definitely be putting a lot of the treats in my trolley , but I guess I do that when we are out in Orlando because we are on holiday but you couldn’t do it all the time if you live out there . Xx
It really is more expensive here, even Aldi isn’t cheap!! Yes I really have to walk past the treats otherwise I will be rolling down these isles vlogging 😂😂
Excellent video I think traveller's would love to see more of these maybe up the budget to 20 dollars for a family of 4 to make quick easy meals after a day at the parks 👍
Interesting to see Aldi in Orlando! Thx! Our Aldi in Germany has a larger sortiment and more choice. Perhaps Trader Joe`s is another possible place to look at 😊
I just came from Aldi 😊 Better 100 times than Walmart. I can’t even imagine to go shopping at Walmart Ours in Columbus Ohio looks nicer but my feet are frozen 🥶 from so cold. Enjoy the weather ❤😊
I don’t really like Walmart either 😂 now I just sound really fussy but I like bits from all of them so need to just combine all of the shops together and I’ll be happy!! Oh no hope you’re not too cold for too long, it’s even cold in Florida! X
Katie! You should try a local grocery store called bravo in the Oak Ridge section near Dr. Phillips. Very nicely priced meat. Pork chops, chicken breast, chicken, legs, and seafood all very nicely priced. And I love the veg! It is never polished and sometimes even has some dirt on it when I’m buying it! That’s when you know it’s still fresh.
I go to Aldi all the time and still enjoyed this video! For the gravy - were you looking for a cylinder-shaped container of gravy granules (from what I can tell online, this is what is most common in the UK?) My Aldi has small gravy packets, just wondering if you checked for those? (I'm very curious if there is a cultural difference in gravy packaging, lol)
No I didn't look for anything like that, I probably just had the UK version of packaging in my head so maybe missed that. Someone else commented on the vlog to say that I walked past gravy though haha x
I agree I live in Southern California n have gone n written down.prices n compared n probably cheaper but it's not all the products I buy n I just don't care to go 3 different stores so here I'm good at Walmart super center for my shopping. I do watch a young youtuber from Maryland n she does Aldi faithfully n watching her shop for her family 4 (2 4) her n husband she gets salmon n healthy but has to go to target also. So if it works for you good but it's not for me.😊 love u videos❤
That’s what puts me off, going to lots of different shops as I think that makes you buy more unless you’re very strict. Aldi was good for quick things like pizza, cheese etc so I will pop in from time to time but I don’t think I will ever be converted to a weekly shop there x
Some ALDIs are better than others! I get all of my young kids cereal there. Most things in aldis are free from the massive amounts of artificial dyes that American manufacturers like to put in food. And they actually like their version of fruit loops and lucky charms better than the name brand! I love aldis little peanut butter cups as a treat for myself!
A few people have said that some of the other Aldis are better, I’ll have to try another branch. That’s great if you can get some bits and pieces from there, I think their snack selection is pretty good so I’ll probs just pop in every few weeks for them x
Yes we do. If you don't make your own there are mixes you can buy, but they are typically powdered not granules. They also come preprepared in cans and jars. Aldi here has very limited selections and doesn't carry lots of things. And they vary by location; I live in an area with a large Hispanic population so grocery stores here, including Aldi, carry more products aimed at that market than you would find in other regions.
Great video. Aldi has so much competition here in Orlando- Walmart Target Publix Sedano's Winn Dixie Bravo Whole Foods Spouts Trader Joe's Presidente Sebra Foods Sam's Costco Plus over a dozen smaller international type grocery stores.
Yes I’ve definitely seen gravy here in other stores and just thought I would find it in Aldi, not really thinking that it’s not really an American thing. X
Was that the ALDI in Haines City? We visited three or four ALDI stores around the 192, but the shelves were always completely empty no matter when we went. That said, we did have some nice pizzas from there! Other affordable supermarkets around Orlando that you could try are Sacks Grocery Outlets, Seabra Foods, Bravo, and Sedano's. Looking forward to hearing what you all think of your $10 meal on Saturday! xx
Zara said the flatbread pizza I got her was really nice, and I was also impressed with their cheese section so they do have some good things for sure! Yes it was Haines city, a few people have said other branches are better so I’ll have to try another one. I have never heard of those other supermarkets you’ve mentioned. I will have to keep my eye open for them x
Yes they’re so much better 😣 but then there is other shops here that are much better than the UK. I don’t see why Aldi here wouldn’t have a better selection tho, seems strange! X

That’s great that you can get those things in there and if they’re cheaper then that’s a bonus, I think their snack selection is pretty good and just the right amount! X
Enjoyed this vlog especially since I’ve started shopping at Aldi recently.

We enjoy your vlogs. We actually saw gravy grans on your vlog. It was where you were looking at the cooking oils, on the right of it.
No way 😂😂😂🤦🏼♀️ so I walked past the gravy!!! X
@@Katiesfloridalife Aye you did lol. xx
Lovely vlog as always, hope you enjoyed your bangers & Mash, love from Wales XX
Thank you! They were nice 😊 sausages arnt as good as from the UK but I still enjoyed them 😍
I think a Winn-Dixie shop may be in order. I'd like to see what you think.
Yes ive never been in one of those, have we got one close to us?? x
@@Katiesfloridalife there is one in Haines City - 36019 US HWY 27 N- Right by Walmart a bit north of Aldi.
Don't think I'll bother going to Aldi lol. I'll stick to target and publix. Hope you enjoy the sausages 😊
Nah it’s nowhere near as nice as Target and Publix!!! The sausages were ok but nothing compared to a British banger!! X
@Katiesfloridalife at least you gave them a go. 😆

That’s a great idea… as we know $10 gets you pretty much nothing these days! I’ll add that to my list thank you xx
This was great!! Trader Joe’s would great too!!
I really want vlog Trader Joe’s but I’ve heard they don’t like you filming in there 🤷🏼♀️ but maybe I will give it a go x
Enjoyed the video ❤
Thanks for watching ❤️
This was brilliant. I love Aldi in the UK and was planning on giving it a go on our long trip when we are over.
It’s definitely worth a trip there for snacks and water, pizzas and cheese/ crackers etc. x
Enjoyed your vlog, as usual.❤
Thank you for always watching ❤️❤️

So many people say Trader Joe’s but I’ve heard they don’t like you filming in there, I think I’m going to give it a go though 🤞🏼
Publix has jar gravy and gravy powder packets on the aisle near the box potatoes. Not sure if it's the same gravy as you use in the UK.
Yes I’ve seen gravy in Publix before, I haven’t tried it though as I still have a UK stock 😂
I just came from Aldi 😊 Better 100 times than Walmart. I can’t even imagine to go shopping at Walmart Ours in Columbus Ohio looks nicer but my feet are frozen 🥶 from so cold. Enjoy the weather ❤😊

I’ve never heard of that, thanks for the tip sounds great. Yes you definitely know it’s fresh when there is dirt on the veg, I like that! X

Cheap and cheerful and bang on if you are on a budget but can’t beat publix especially the takeaway sandwiches ❤
I love a publix sub 😍😍

What about WinnDixie or Detwilers Farm Market (might only be in Sarasota). Btw I love all your videos.
Yes there is a Winn Dixie near me so maybe I’ll try that soon, I’ve never been in one before! Thank you for watching xx

They do have jarred Hines gravy. It might be near the boxes of stuffing. Or near the powdered soups and spices.

Aldi! Not my favorite grocery store! I'm envious when I see European and British ones.
