its very crazy, the waterparks are closed at the moment because of the cold but I don't think that will last too long. Zara is obsessed with the walking dead, she is re watching it again haha. xx
The weather was awful last week, but now the sun is back out! I think the shopping cart is a good idea and I might need to get one now. Lol! I know that they had the shopping bags you could pull in Spain, and that was very common there. I'm honestly not sure why it isn't more common here in the U.S.

We've had very cold weather in Chicago over the last 2 weeks going as low as -18 with a wind chill effect of -25 Celsius but thankfully we're back up now. Hope Zara liked the high school and I wish her a smooth transition
Haha, luckily for her I do most of the shopping while she is at school so I wont embarrass her that much!! Oh wow that is cold, im not sure I could cope with that all winter, we went to Chicago last year and it was very cold. Zara loved the high School thank you, she's excited as they give them a lot more freedom that what she gets in the middle school xx

Thank you im happy with the backsplash up to now. No you can't use the pools unfortunately, they're for hotel guests only. It is nice that they let you in to the hotels though as they're all so different and have unique things to look at xx
Katie! I need my own shopping cart now! I told Paul as soon as the snow goes I have to get one. How genius- not needing to touch stores gross carts, being able to save on bags, easy loading the car and unloading at home. Love it!
It depends on the builder when you buy a home on what you get. I bought my house brand new and all the cabinet knobs, towel racks, etc. were included. What was not included was window treatments like blinds, curtains, etc. I am really impressed at your abilities to do all of this DIY stuff - I can't do any of it.
Ooh lucky you, that would have saved us a lot of time putting all these towel racks up, especially with the amount of bathrooms, like you say maybe just different builders. I’m sure you could do the DIY, you just have to give it a go x

Your talented Katie to do so many different DIY projects. Love the colors pink n gold (my favorite color )in the bathroom. Little by little you can switch out all the silver even the faucets that would be beautiful. Btw the inside shower curtain stays inside tub to keep water in but the beautiful pink should be on outside to cover tub n show design. ❤❤😊 love ur vlogs.

Great vlog again. We have the same issue with the weeds and dead grass either side of our new build house. We are also considering having it paved but last week a landscaper came to give us a quote to Re do or (re-sod) the lawn as the grass has died. (Another problem here in Florida, so we got an HOA violation to replace it). Anyways, he recommended to put 3x3 ft paver squares on the sides and put gravel or stone chips around them as it’s way cheaper and we noticed most of our neighbours have done this. Nobody can see the sides of the house so it’s not worth putting fancy pavers. Love the shopping trolley.
Yes exactly the same issue, it's never going to grow down the side is it. Im waiting for them to give me a new quote on some cheaper pavers as the ones they sent me where very nice but a waste of time really, only my eyes will have to look at them when I put the bin out. Still though id rather spend the money on a cruise than pavers haha x
@ yeah me too. Landscaper coming at 3pm to give me quote on changing the lawn and extending pavers on the drive a bit so we won’t step on it when getting out of car, so far he wants $1750 for 1000sq ft of St Augustine grass plus the pavers and stuff. Look after your lawn!
I will definitely try more from there, it was really good value for money too for the amount of filling. I suppose at first I just seen their sandwiches and thought "gas station rubbish" but it was very nice x

We don't live far from Lakeland but I have only explored a few parts of it up to now. Im really not sure how much work there is but there is so many new houses being built around here that im sure there is plenty people to generate work. Thank you for watching the videos xx
In the US, some builders do include cabinet hardware. As for different metals, go for it! In the design world, mixed metals are perfectly acceptable. My question has been and remains Zara’s school situation. Here in Texas and for my family in FL, your child is automatically zoned to the school assigned. If there isn’t enough space, the district is responsible to make the space. I don’t know what district you are in but they must be experiencing major growth. Thank you and stay dry!
I said this exact thing when Katie was looking for a space for Zara last year, we were always told, where ever you live, the school district must find room for that child.
Oh ok I didn’t know that. I assumed because we were late arriving last year that the school didn’t have to accept us? But my point in the vlog was more to the people who msg me asking about certain schools but as per my experience last year they’re all so oversubscribed that the choice just isn’t there, yes the district might find you a place but it most likely won’t be in the school you want 🤨 such a shame but it’s just so popular moving here xx
@ Whatever school district you are in should have a zoning map that shows what area is zoned to each school. These zoning maps also are interactive where you put in an address and it will give the designated schools for that location. Some districts have Charter or Magnet schools but those are usually waitlisted. Your viewers wanting to move to FL could use this tool, get a schools rating then rent or purchase in that area if they choose to. Keep in mind, with growth comes rezoning! I wish I had understood what you were talking about when you were going through all the confusion when enrolling Zara. I could have explained this sooner and saved you some stress.
Could you put the bird feeder on a metal bracket for a hanging basket? It’s so lovely- Dollar Tree seems so much better than Poundland. I would have bought that mug - love its retro design.

haha, don't think any teenagers would like it. Yes I forgot tot mention the fridge again, he managed to stop the leak and get the filter back in but that was the old filter. The new ones have been delivered now but I daren't touch it incase it leaks again, ill leave that job for Jason when he comes home xx

We have a service station like Wawa in Georgia called QT. Their order to made sandwiches, wraps and pizza is awesome.
