If a crooked company goes out of business, why can't you still sue the owners?! They shouldn't be able to shut down and run off with all the customer's money! This is why stuff like this keeps happening before nobody with the power wants to do anything about it because it's not their problem.
They automatically take a lien out on your house when you sign up for financing (this is pretty standard). The loans are likely sold soon after being signed so the bankruptcy of the firm won't get you out of the obligation to pay. If I was in this situation I would carefully read the contract to see if there are any clauses for bad workmanship or failure to complete the job. You may need the help of an attorney.
The problem is, they do the install, your loan is sold out to another company like goodleap…. So goodleap will go after you:( I’m in this position, just got their bankruptcy letter
Worked for TSP before resigning immediately following an extremely hard working relative being let go. Overheard the distribution side management zoom meetings quite often.. bunch of clowns. No surprise.
