This is a very good review, I love the Holbrook design but I have a smaller face, and the XL and standard look a little big on me but the Holbrook xs youth fits me perfectly, lol, and I’m an adult. But they only have three replacement lens that are polarized which are the prizm rose gold, black and grey. And they also have the prizm deep water polarized, but it doesn’t come separate you are forced to buy it with the ugly wood grain frame, ughh. The black frames come with the prizm jade which is my favorite, but it does not come in polarized, ugh sooo frustrating , I guess I would have to sacrifice and wear the bigger frames and look like a pimp lol. But the rose gold prism polarized seems like a good deal. Just wished Oakley was more versatile when it came to different sized faces, which they are but not quite.
Thanks! I've been looking all over for some small sunglasses for my small a** face!! Finally this video explains it all! Very helpful! Probably gonna go with some oakes, since other companies don't even have size small sunglasses smh...
Hi Will! Andrew here and I feel your struggle! Glad we could help you out. Feel free to contact one of our certified opticians if you need help deciding which model to get: www.sportrx.com/contact
@@sportrxeyewear Andrew, do you think either the Oakley Turbine XS or Oakley Holbrook XS be good sunglasses for active sports, such as cycling or jogging? Yes, I understand that you guys have other models much better designed for sport, but I'm looking to buy one pair of sunglasses that's both casual and can handle sporting activities, leading me towards the turbine or holbrook.
Thank you for this informative video. I lucked out and picked the Gibston before I watched your vid. Love them! I just received the Canteen -black ink-jade iridium polarized and they fit my smaller face well. I may get some custom Holbrook Oakleys as I need something in brown. Thanks again for a great video! Dedicated Oakley person since the 80's.
I've been wearing Holbrook and love them. But they are quite big on my face. Like, pretty dang big. I used to wear Fives² and they fit nicely. I think I'm going to try the Holbrook XS they sound perfect! Finally! I'm really thinking about them in Rx bc I just got glasses this year.
Hi Buck, I have a small to medium head and the Holbrook XS fit me better than the standard Holbrook so it sounds like you are on the right track! If you have questions about Rx options you can always chat with our certified opticians here: www.sportrx.com/contact
Yeah Oakley should be mindful that not everyone has a bigger head and that the standard Holbrook would not fit many peoples faces. I’m noticing a lot of people say that it is rather big on their faces and they are forced to buy the Holbrook XS youth, which fits me perfectly! And I’m an adult. Oakley needs to have something in between standard and youth frame sizes, because not every one has a big head lol and the consumer shouldn’t be forced to buy the XS. It’s a beautiful design, but Oakley needs to be more versatile in their sizes and having more polarized lens for the Holbrook XS, since many adults are buying the XS frame.
I thought I was the only one as an adult , noticing that the Holbrook youth XS frames fit me perfectly, but the standard Holbrook, is quite big on my face. I like the Holbrook XS but they are limited in their polarized replacement lens Dept.
Hi! The relative width of the 50mm Wayfarer is 135mm. The closest Frogskin option is the Low-Bridge Fit version that is 133mm wide. The regular Frogskin is 132mm, respectably. Can't really go wrong with either option as they're very similar in size and feel to that of the Wayfarer. As I've seen in another video, thank you for making videos that make sense! One question, what are a few suggestions from oakley would you recommend for a small/medium face with a high prescription? OD Sphere -7, Cyl -.75, Axis 165; OS Sphere -7, Cyl -1.25, Axis 172? I really liked the Holbrooks until I saw they had no grip on the nose. Another specification needed is a balance of a casual and uniform look, as I'd wear these on duty and off. Thank you!
Hi Andrew Mihalko. Couple questions. I had good RB sunglasses for my small face but just lost them. 1) With Oakley, do I have to get specific features I may not want, as you have to do with Maui Jim, for example? 2) Some of the sunglasses in your video seemed to have big openings on the side that may let in lots of light, which I don't want. BTW, I tried on Gibstons, but were too big for my small face, 3) Do you also sell non-sunglasses? 4) If I play a casual game of pickup basketball, what should I wear? I'd hate to break an expensive pair of Oakley sunglasses. Should I get some of those sports "goggles" I've heard about that don't break easily? Thanks!
Hello! 1) I'd recommend giving us a call to speak with an optician about the specific features you may or may not want included on your lenses/frames. If prescription is needed, then we can customize a lens that is tailored to your environment. 2) If concerned about light access to your eyes, go with a wraparound frame design. 3) Yes, we carry a wide catalogue of opthalmic frames as well! 4) I'd recommend some sports frames that are ASTM rated for impact protection but many people prefer to play in casual glasses. It's really up to the wearer! www.sportrx.com/rec-specs-helmet-spex.html
Great information. The Frogskin has seemed to be a bit large looking on my face in lenses height and roundness. Would the Frogskin XS be a better choice or go with the Gibston? Concerned the Frogskin XS would be tight in other areas? My face size is typically small. Thank you
My lady needs small glasses and she was looking at a style called flak!? She sometimes uses kids glasses or women’s smaller size so I’m wondering if the flak has a small size OR what size would I look for to fit her face?
Hi Tony! The Flak 2.0 XL is a very popular model that fits a variety of heads out there but the smaller version of it is the Half Jacket 2.0 and then even smaller than that is the Flak XS. I would recommend connecting with one of our certified opticians to get you dialed in on the right size: www.sportrx.com/contact Thanks for reaching out!
Hi Michael! They are a bit tight on my face since they are on the smaller end of the spectrum out of the frames in this video. If you would like more sizing information or need help narrowing down your options we have certified opticians on the phones and live chat you can reach here: www.sportrx.com/contact

That’s a great question! While the Gascan can fit a smaller face than one might think, it isn’t as ideal for ‘true’ small faces as the other frames are in this list. It was definitely a contender, though!

Just recently purchased a pair of Silver Stealth's they are a great fit for my small face.
I had the fives squared and they fit me great. The straight jacket is a very similar fit on me as well.

Quarter Jackets are best fit for me, but gonna try some others.
Fives squared fit great for small heads like mine, look much better than the RB 4155 but not as good as the MJ Stingray.
You don't make it obvious which pair isn't available in prescription. Is the EV Path XS available in prescription lens?
What particular color of frame and lens are those on the Frogskins?
Are Oakley's still made in the USA or just "assembled" in the USA?
The manorburn or ojector or latch beta are good option for small faces ??
You guys forgot about Sliver Stealth ! Which is basically designed for small faces or even good for kids.
Mmmm great point! That is another excellent choice. Thanks for adding it here!
What the size frogskin combine same size the wayfarer 50mm?? I want buy the frogkskin but don't know about the real size for me

How do the fives squared compare to the latch in size?
there a little bit smaller but fairly similar think latch with smaller lenses
Hi Tom! The wraparound design makes them feel smaller than the Latch which is a much flatter frame.
Thank you, I also have a pair of Jupiter squared. Would you be able to give a size comparison to these and the latch?
I have the oakley ejector, sunglass fit great for small head but temple a little bit long 139mm, how do i fix that?
Normally we modify O Matter temple arms by heating and molding them bit since this frame is metal that isn't really an option.

Why no Trillbe X?

Well if you still made the O wires you'd have another pair to.offer!😮
How are Trillbe X size wise compare to Frogskinns and Holbrooks XS?
Was surprised that Trillbe X weren't mentioned.
Why did Oakley shoot themselves in the foot and stop making the Gascan small? Sorry but a lot of these frames seem way too big
The Asian Fit is great
I agree! Thanks for checking out our video, Frank!
