Fencing Rocky Montana Soil To Keep Wildlife Out | ACTIVE Wildfire In Area

We have been working on our garden projects for a couple of months now... all that hard work is starting to pay off!
As many of you may know, we have extremely rocky soil on our property. Mainly on the side we are currently developing. Due to this, trying to drive t posts manually into the ground has been quite a challenge... We have a plan B though!
In the meantime, we started to build tiered raised beds on our mountain side, where we already have egyptian onions growing.
We plan on putting crops like pumpkins, squash, watermelon, and cantaloupe down on the mountain side. We plan on fencing this garden as well, but that will be a project for the future!
Thank you again ‪@Deerhavenoffgridhomestead‬ for the raspberry starters! On our other mountain side, we plan on creating a berry garden, which will include raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, and even huckleberries! The deer really like munching on the raspberry plants... we need to get this section fenced ASAP. Luckily, raspberry plants are pretty resilient, so they are starting to grow back.
Even with the amount of projects we have going on, we wanted to take a little time to enjoy a hike and check on our berry patches! Those berries aren't ready quite yet.... we look forward to the day when they are!
***As of Tuesday, July 9th, we have an active wildfire in the area... The Horse Gulch Fire near Helena, MT can been seen from our house, which is a little eerie. We are keeping a close eye on the status of this fire. At this point, the fire is not too close to us, but depending on the winds and extreme fire weather, it could head our direction.
Our deepest thoughts and prayers go out to everyone who has had to evacuate, the first responders working day and night to contain the fire, and the pilot's life that was lost fighting this fire.***
