It was like the first Multiplayer Shooter online and in the year 2001, when this game was just 2 years out, Gitzzz was already highly competitive and on his own certain level, which was almost unreachable for this time. Bleh showed up 10years+ later, where the entire internet and shooting games were way more "a thing" and he could get many ideas how to play by seeing other pros. Probably Gitzzz was his mentor. :)

GitzZz peaked earlier in the game's lifecycle, and couldn't keep up with new gameplay developments and tactics, which bleh mastered. Had they both started at the same time, it might be different, but as it stands, players like bleh, eagle and Kalias were better. This happens in every sport and e-sport, though- as time goes on, players get better and better.

I owned at ut99 and 2k3/2k4. instagib and sniper only ctf and tdm/dm was accused of aimbotting constantly lmao. mam those are the days. if we had twitch and TH-cam bank them like it is now and MLG I'd be well of from that game alone. there isn't still a player base is there? I highly doubt it. remembered playing against fatal1ty and getting damn close match and it wasn't even my game type. nothing beats/matches the mouse and keyboard combo
Hey, I am from Estonia and used to play ut 99 alot, couple years there was definately player base around still in Europe and I played in some U.S. servers, but ping was very high, wasn't too nice to play, there were some very good players aswell, so player base probably exists now, just in less numbers I think. About 2k3/2k4 UT don't really know, never liked it or probably sucked at that too much to like it))

Gonna go ahead and say this. A lot of these frags seem to be blatantly staged. Sorry, it looks cool and all, but bruh literally shooting rockets at a wall and having someone blatantly dash into them is too much.
Haha and we hacked the shit out of it.. aimbots , wallhacks lol face, team and skin changers erm admin sniffers, server kills.... so much pain caused and the server admin at the time got kicked and banned from their own servers BRILLIANT! Ha ha ha! :D
