- How do you check over a used car before you buy it? What do you need to look for when buying a used car and how can you avoid buying a dud? All questions I've been asking myself as I set up my AI Car Dealership, the @CleverCarCollection. In this video I share the process I go through when it comes to buying used cars. If you're a fellow car dealer watching this I'd love to know what you do and the tricks I might be missing, and if you're a consumer I hope the advice helps you when it comes to buying your next used car.
I started the Clever Car Collection with the help of AI at the start of the year and have rapidly come to realise the art of running a good dealership is mostly in the buying.
In this video I delve into the critical lessons I've learned from a few months of real-world experience. I show you how to spot potential pitfalls, the significance of thorough vehicle inspections, and the importance of meticulous paperwork. All things you can do yourself.
From deciphering MOT histories to performing the most essential of mechanical checks, I've aimed to provide a look at the processes that have helped me avoid purchasing problem cars. It hasn't worked every time, but it has sure helped.
If you think I've missed something, or have better ways of doing things, I'd love to hear your advice. Drop them in the comments below. And please check out our other AI Car Dealership Project videos for more of a look at how I'm finding my feet in the used car business.

A very comprehensive check and in reality I guess it’s about discipline to do and letting the buyer now it will take some time. I would also add to your list about bringing a obd reader and checking for any faults. As you know you can have an engine light on and remove it with the obd reader and yet never actually fix the issue. And obd readers can be brought for as little as £5
Good one. More content please
IMO Yellow is not most popular choice but makes a change from the black and grey that most cars seem to be these days
Don’t know what you mean, my 3 year old loves yellow cars 😜
Yellow is my favorite car color, especially with a black roof! If I had one, it would brighten up my day!!
Many years ago I read that yellow cars were involved in fewest accidents (and black most I believe). Easy to see why!
New subscriber 👌👌
1.6mm on the central 3/4 not the whole tyre
