- This video is created to give a preview of what a trip from Bangalore to Udupi (Manipal mentioned since it's literally 10 mins away) would look like. With the intention of comparing both available routes. The first being through Shiradi/y Ghat-Mangalore/Mangaluru and the second being through Hassan City-Charmadi/y Ghat.
Google maps has shown one more route which is a fusion of both where the connection between them is made through Dharmasthala. We might upload that if we do make a trip through there later.

We had a suction-cup style mount for the GoPro, which we didn't use earlier, that can easily be installed and removed. This can be mounted on the window, which is in a position higher than the dashboard mount from before. There's still a lot of stabilization going on but the frame coverage is still better than the videos we got out during the Yercaud trip with the old mount.

@@juliejames2024illa sir, @ 9:55 you should had joined that highway,single lane is opened for some distance as of now while you are coming from shiradi ghat side, you can easily recognize it, they have placed name board

why did you go via Mangalore to Udupi? any specific reason? Google maps shows a direct route to udupi after you descend from Shiradi Ghat.
We were recommended Shiradi Ghat by a few people online who regularly travel specifically to Mangalore. Additionally this is also the route we saw in a few TH-cam videos. So we figured we'd try this route out.
As mentioned in the description, Google Maps does show a different route through a place called "Dharmastala," which we might check out in a future trip.
590 is extraordinarily high. Indians pay it because the alternative roads are really in poor condition
It is. But this unfortunately is what good roads cost.
