Excellent review AC, and join your thoughts 100%. My take on this.. if the Queen had one of her out door extravagant country sports jacket on, and she sprayed it with some wonderful scent, dried down for a while and hung in her parlour, that is the vibe I get. other words very posh.
I concur. Excellent review as always. This is one of my favorite scents of all time, a bold claim but true. I actually get a touch of Creed’s Spice & Wood from RO, which only enhances the beauty. My next big purchase will be the largest bottle I can find, a flacon if available. Haven’t splurged in a little while, but I’ve exhausted my decant and the time has come. 👍🏻
Top 2 creed for me. I wear it year round not so much in winter though. It does much better in summer actually. True the projection can be spotty at times but for sure a great fragrance!
Great to see you Rex after a long time. I can see you liking this a lot as you love Tom Ford Oud Wood, and to me this is a similar sort of attempt at a light oud by Creed. This did not do anything for me in Summer TBH, maybe my skin chemistry. have a great week pal :).
Thanks for the review AC high quality as ever. I’m going to give this a final test when it’s really cold but even though I love this juice like you mate it doesn’t project on me either. Still a masterpiece that I want in my collection though. All the best mate.
I truly enjoy this fragrance. My problem is that my current life style doesn't lend itself to the use of this scent. I wore it to an upscale new years party last new years. Haven't worn it since. It's a shame i have several fragrances that are soo good for "upscale" occasions. But I lead quite the laid-back lifestyle. That being said, I love a dry sharp cedar and to me cedar is the star of this scent :) Thank you again for another fantastic explanation of a scent. People will do well to watch this if interested in Creed Royal Oud.

The other day i was wearing Invasion Barbare on a Tshirt and jeans sitting with a friend driking coffee :). I agree this is centered around Cedar but I also get a powdery dry and aromatic sandal wood and an embellished aromatic Oud like note all in the dry down though. Have a great week mate :).
the climent in my country is humid and hot like Florida usa, do u think this one fits ? I have try this few time but the strip whole 3 stage performance and the opening wont click with me , do u think i should give it another try do u think this is a 40 up mature scent , does all female and average audience noses will appreciate ? John, this is not a huge compliment magnet IMHO and based on your climate conditions I would look elsewhere. In fact i will review a fragrance that is quite close to Royal Oud soon, maybe you could try that.
Great explaination of constituted transitions 👍🏼 I have a guess that mentioned “undisclosed” fragrance you were talking about is “Lomani Intense Black” since after sniffing it side by side on different hands (Creed Royal Oud & Lomani Intense Black) , I feel that one is more close than “Rasasi - Al Wasam Evening” because of synthetic but quite similar Lemons (may be bergamot), Agarwood opening with pink pepper which dries down with Musk with hint of insences, Slight sandalwood. Because of which I agreed my self to not to buy Royal Oud But anyways thank you so much for your excellent detailed thoughts 😇

Love your reviews sir, I've just started trying Creeds, I have samples of Aventus, Royal Oud and Green Irish tweed. Really like the smell of GIT so I'm happy with that, not so convinced about them being worth £250 for what they are considering they don't seem to have high concentrations and they go away fast, but we will see. can you please review Gucci Pour homme II, for me the smell of this one is absolutely stellar (you have probably tried, but would love if you can review) cheers :)
Brother, you have to give Alexandria Royalty a try. I know you’re also a fan of Alexandria. It is a great alternative to Royal Oud. In my opinion, a bit more citrusy and a bit less spicy, but better performing. Give it a try and let me know your thoughts!

An unfair question, but if I could please take the liberty - if you had to pick just one amongst the following which one would it be - Royal Oud, Royal Water, Royal Mayfair, Tabarome Millesime ? I know it's simplistic. Only when you get the time, AC. And thank you for taking the time out to make these reviews.
Hi Sumant, great to see you after a long time. Lovely question and to me, I quite like all of them but the LOVE is got to be Mayfair as it is more interesting and unexpected. That is what I want when I paying big bucks. Tabarome is a close second, although I would have loved it if it were a bit more bold. There is a thug hidden somewhere in Tabarome but it needed to come out a bit more :). Hope I am making sense.
