mom chose really, REALLY well. it doesn't have the trendy poofy sleeves from the 80s, it doesn't have shoulder pads or anything gaudy and dated. i could see that hanging on the racks at kleinfeld's today. and the fact that it fits her like a glove?! it's meant to be. i'm so happy that they have such a close relationship and they're so supportive of each other, you can feel the love. i hope she finds that special someone soon so her mom can see her walk down the aisle in that beautiful heirloom gown.
the only thing a tiny bit dates was the huge flowers on the back. The base dress is amazing and you could make a couple of small alterations to really make it something stunning for the daughter too. Personally I would take off the back flowers and add sleeves like from the first dress. done. The lace on the moms dress is so amazing.
What an incredible gift this appointment was. Kleinfeld knew they weren't going to be selling a dress and made this a special moment for mother and daughter.

It was dry cleaned by experts and sealed into an archive box to preserve it.That's why it's in such great condition. The fact it looks so good on the daughter is due to Mom's picking a classic and classy dress.
I just found her on TikTok. She got married and her mom was able to be there. She wasn’t able to wear her mom’s dress, though, ‘cause she gained weight, but they were both okay with it. Happy Ending. ❤
Yeah ok. They're doing this to promote the store especially since they're already famous because they know at the end of the day to stay open a company needs to make business and let's face it, the more business they make, the more money the salesperson gets. They're on commission. My mom passed from cancer too and I didn't go to try on dresses when I wasn't dating someone. I don't like to waste my time or anyone elses

@@chanabayla1823 you are not wrong, for you it is a waste of time, for me it's not that important, but for the two ladies it seems to be quite important, than I guess it would be a waste of time not to do this. It was a time together where the cancer of the mother was not the most important thing. I know what it means, because I am also a (breast) cancer survivor.
Tears…..that dress was made for her mother and for her❤️❤️ The fact that mom let HER choose was the icing on the cake. No pressure no nothing. Mom just wanted the memory ❤️ ugh I hope mom is still alive, she is the sweetest ❤️
My dad has neuroendocrine cancer, he first had it 20 years ago and had the whipple surgery. It came back about 8 years ago, they did radiation targeted, and they've just been monitoring it since. I think it's slow growing, but hasn't grown after the radiation, much. I'm sure mom is getting all the best treatment, hopefully she can live many more years.
Watching your show for years and seeing so many brides yearning for their dearly departed mamas, I’m overwhelmed that they got to make this memory. What a tragically beautiful moment for them.
If I was offered to wear my mom's wedding dress, I wouldn't need to try anything else on. How lovely that this young girl loved it and could share such a beautiful moment with her.

When i first saw this episode, I pretty much cried. My mom and I are huge say yes to the dress fans. We call this show our happy show. I want my mother to be there at my wedding.
I’m so happy yet sad and I’m crying. I’m so happy Randy did this for them even though he knew they might not even buy a dress and I’m crying over how beautiful yet sad the whole thing was. What a lovely episode!
The kindness the staff allowed this family was incredible! Most stores would have refused to see them if they weren't going to buy anything, but Randy and his team gave them the experience they needed. It had me in tears.

Thank you for posting this video. I'm a newlywed & I unintentionally excluded my Mom w/my dress shopping. Looking back, I regret it. I got so caught up in the excitement that I didn't even think about her. Everything was so convenient online & I just clicked "buy." 😢It's a moment I can't take back. Luckily she EVENTUALLY forgave me. So seeing how this young lady is thoughtful enough to create a lasting memory for her ailing mother, is awesome. ❤
i couldn't afford a dress from a bridal salon so i found one i liked online that i could afford and luckily found a store near me that had the same style in stock. i took my mom with me to try it on just to make sure i didn't look like a total disaster. if i had it to do over, though, i would've saved up so i could let the consultant find a dress that truly suited me (the one i got didn't hide my belly the way i had hoped it would).
I pray for strength for you to get through that time when your mom isn't there. My mom passed away 4 years ago, and I don't believe I would have been able to do this with her had I known of her passing in advance. The days will be hard, but you will get through it.
I am so sorry for your loss. My mom passed away suddenly from cancer four years ago. Part of the reason I don't want to get married is because I don't want to do this without her. I pray for strength for you during the hard days that still come, even four years later.

This reminds me of a time when I was a Senior in high school. I came home one day finding my mom looking at her weeding photos. Next thing I know i was trying on her wedding dress. I wish we had a Kleinfeld where I live, complete with its very own Randy. Our bridal stores are tiny with very small ranges in each, and we don't even get a proper room - just a row of cubicles like you're trying on jeans or something. Randy is just gorgeous. He knows exactly how to make each and every bride feel special and how to interact with people. There is no way in the world I would have worn my mother's wedding dress (even she admitted it wasn't that nice but someone else told her to wear it) but Randy was over the moon when he realised this dress was from a collection he was once involved with designing. Made it all the more special. Beautiful episode.

My cousin picked her wedding dress when she was single. She wanted to go try on dresses for fun and ended up finding one she loved. She wore it on her wedding day a few years later. I dont see anything wrong with waiting until you're getting married. As special as it is to go when you're getting married. You have the excitement. When you find one when you're single. You are picking a dress that you love. Without the pressure of wanting to impress. I think it was really special that they went picking a dress so her mom can be involved. Then you get a share a special moment wearing her mothers dress and she gets to see her daughter in it. Her mother obviously had really good taste because her dress really is something beautiful.

Mom's dress is timeless. It was gorgeous in 1989 and it looks fabulous on the daughter. Normally dresses that old look dated.

My cousin picked her wedding dress when she was single. She wanted to go try on dresses for fun and ended up finding one she loved. She wore it on her wedding day a few years later. I dont see anything wrong with waiting until you're getting married. As special as it is to go when you're getting married. You have the excitement. When you find one when you're single. You are picking a dress that you love. Without the pressure of wanting to impress. I think it was really special that they went picking a dress so her mom can be involved. Then you get a share a special moment wearing her mothers dress and she gets to see her daughter in it. Her mother obviously had really good taste because her dress really is something beautiful.
