Read about it in details in books (Mossad ant the Rise & kill first). The mission was only the end of the effort. The whole thing had a serious intel operation before gathering significant data for routes, patrols, routines, etc. Taking under consideration that at that time , tech was not so developed, i think that this alone increases the success level that this mission had
