- Declutter my minimalist, Scandinavian home with me!
I often get asked how my home is so clutter free.
Being a minimalist helps of course but I still need access to things quickly and easily and can’t have it all stashed away or non existing in the first place.
Here are some ideas which can easily be translated in your home if you too need ways to control your clutter.
Pretty little boxes are great for corralling small things that would otherwise clutter up the top of a piece of furniture.
Instead of having all my bits loose I like to collect them on trays.
Baskets are great for collecting all the little bits that you need but don’t necessarily want to display.
There are a few things that I need often daily in my kitchen. I keep them in my Eva Solo Tool box container, linked below.
I don’t have a lot of storage in my bathroom and somethings are just awkward sizes and don’t fit in the cabinet so I nest tubs where I keep the clutter.
I get so many questions about the things in my apartment and what I like and wear so I've collected links for many of them below.

When I was in my 20s I loved colour and the eclectic look. Now I’m my 30s, I really require the tranquility and peace that comes from neutrals and simplicity. Funny how we grow and change with time. Your apartment is beautiful and inspiring. I struggle with two preschoolers to keep my house clutter free. It’s definitely a process!
I spent the whole fall decluttering and cleaning out the house of things we dont need the house feels organized and amazing
I use the lockdown for decluttering and cleaning my home at an intensive level. Spring cleaning galore.
I don’t think the world will ever see so many well organized and clean homes again!

I've watched lots of videos on decluttering. This is the first one that I've seen that shows me what to do with those necessary things that look so messy scattered over tables and countertops.

Just the perfect video for me before I head off for a nightshift at the hospital. Not for the first time have I noticed items of yours that I have too. Like the shaker box. So your place feels a bit like my home.I have a light weighed basket that I tend to carry around at home. It carries stuff like a book, my tablett, phone, sudoku, kleenex ie. I know this is a new video, but I just found your channel and have been watching old and new videos. They are calming and you are so good at videography! One thing I have noticed about your apartment is that keeping the tuns, baskets, and bins in white and wood makes it look less cluttered than it would if they were multiple colors. I love how it looks!

That was my first thought, but because she also uses a stool as a coffee table, if she wants to have a cup of tea, it's easier to move the tray and put it on the floor, and not every single item on it. In my opinion, it makes sense thus, the stool becomes a multi-purpose item. I have been in the process of becoming a minimalist for about 10 years and when keeping an item, I always think if that item can serve more than one purpose.
@@lupebutterfly9161 I feel that is a good lesson for me to think if an item has more than one purpose. I am in the middle myself of becoming a minimilist and I am also helping a friend move. She has moved from a one room bedsit. The amount of items she had that were one use products. It was like moving a room of pound land or Kleeneasy products. It really enforced to me about the one use products issue.

It just amazes me how many new ideas I get form your videos. I've been downsizing for years and it's only been the last two years that I've called myself a minimalist. Your 30-day minimalist game video gave me great ideas I had not thought about. I didn't reach the goal but 223 items out of my one-bedroom apartment felt great. Now, I won't feel sad looking at containers I don't think I need, I'll look at them as helpful containers to keep my place looking fresh and calming. Thanks.

I have not tried using trays to control clutter, I like baskets. I loved all of your storage solutions, they all look beautiful 😍😍😍 , your home is so calming to look at. I like neat and tidy, but my husband is very messy 🤦 but this evening he walked into the living room and thanked me for how clear and tidy the kitchen counter was, he appreciates it, he just can't seem to do it himself. I am trying to teach our daughter to pack her things away before bed, it's a bit of a battle some times, but she too can see and appreciate having a clean, tidy, clutter free home 👍😉

Love your solutions to minimise the clutter. Those shaker boxes are so beautiful are they. I'm the box and tray lover pur sang. My sons complain that there are to many of them, my daughter in law thinks I am so organised. I think it must be somewere in the middle. ;>D
