I hope they improve the customer service because it is really bad. They took almost 3 months to try to address condensation in my front light that fried it, they took the car for a day and brought me back without fixing the light because the lynk&Co staff didn't tell the mechanic about the problem. The guy just put some washer fluid and made a software update.... I gave it back. I'll try again next year with the future updated battery that would offer up to 175km range from what they told me. 6-8 months delivery time they told me as well.
Seeing the front view + blind spots would be excellent. Sometimes in the Netherlands, when you are making a right turn, you need to make sure there are no bikes coming by. This gets very difficult if the bike path is curving on an opposing angle, and you end up basically looking over your shoulder and hoping for the best.
Great job!! Thom. The updates seem to me to be a great success on the part of Lynk & co for 01 and as you say, for me the most important are the AC charge at 7.4kW and the laminated front windows, since in several videos, they complained of both...👏👍 It would have been incredible if the on-board charger was 11kW in three-phase AC...😱 It would be the first PHEV on the market to have it, with a battery charge in just over an hour on 11/22kW chargers... but that's it a breakthrough to 7.4kW...🤷♂️
It surely would have been great, but hey, let's take what we can get.. lol! The 01 is one of the strongest PHEV SUVs on the current market and with these updates the car has become even better. I like it 😁
Great little round-up Thom, thanks! Do you know how these upgrades will be rolled out? I've received an email saying they will switch my 01 somewhere in the coming months, so maybe that is part of it? They didn't mention any upgrades in the email tho. I still hope they push a software update to make google maps run on the digital driver's display as the internal GPS system does. Seems a little crazy that they are not able to do that. Would at least for me be a significant quality of life upgrade as I am never using the internal GPS. Cheers, and keep 'em coming!
Thanks Tobias! The updated 01's have been in production as of August, take shipping and such into account from China, so most likely you will get a new 01 with these updated. 😊

Thanks for the review, nice to watch. Picked up my 01 last week in Diemen. 2022 model, brand new, license plate registered two weeks ago. The model I drive has all the updated specs you mentioned, except for the updated onboard charger. Love the car, but it would have been so much more usefull of it had the bigger onboard charger. It takes about 4.5 hrs to fully charge. If it had been 2 to 3 hrs I could drive fully electric all day, charging it during my meetings. It seems that the bigger onboard charger is only available in models produced after August 2022.
That's how it is. Only the models produced from August or September 2022, bring the 7.4kW on-board charger. Few PHEVs carry it and if so, it is always a €400/500 option...
Does O1 offer a line keep assist function that keeps the car between the lines on the road for a brief time even if you do not hold the steering wheel? The function makes the car driving and steering by itself for a short time, then it calls you to put your hands back on the steering wheel. In my Honda this system can be activated above 70km/h and it works pretty well even on mild curved roads. Naturally, in O1 this function can be named differently.
Yep it has a pilot assist/lane keeping aid. Works without holding the wheel for about 5 seconds and then it urges you to grab the wheel again. Overal it’s a very light support so you can not really call it pilot assist such as Volvo has.
Hi, Thom. I would like you to make a video when possible, about the exterior lights (daylights, low beam, high beam, turn signals, reversing lights, fog lights, brake lights, etc.) and interior lights (ambient light, button lights, trunk lights, sun visor lights, interior lighting, etc) of the new Lynk & co 01 at night...🙏😄
Love the Link&Co 01! Wouldn't mind if they came to the states.... the upgrade to the onboard charger is definitely going to make this a real competitor in the PHEV segment. On a side note I really like the colors in your shirt this time....I love plaid or tartan...thats a good one!
Hi Thom, Since when should the 2022 model have these updates ? As i bought one first registration oktober 2022 and the booth switch is under the O instead of in the Centre so i thought is was the updated model bit loading is max 3.8 kWh instead of the 7 kWh ? So i guess its a transition model with the old boordnet still ?
What I recall is that these updated 01’s came quite late in 2022. Perhaps October but maybe even later. Specially the OBC came in late but not sure anymore how lynkco arranged it back then. Perhaps they can advise you by providing your vin number.. goodluck!
Hi Thom, great video's. I've discovered you just this week, because i'm looking all video's about the Lynk & Co. I've immediately subscribed me to your channel. Because you are a big fan of the Lynk & Co, please can you tell me. What is true about the software hickups? Is it really that annoying?
Thanks Harm! There have been some issues with software but L&C already provided some software updates addressing many issues. The car from the video proved to be solid without issues. Basically any potential issues are becoming less and less with each update, fortunately!

I have a question about subscription option they provide. I actually did a test drive today and generally very impressed. I decided to go ahead and order one from their website but then realised something bit interesting. I thought that we are getting brand new cars (as we do while we lease and matter of fact we have to wait at least two months) but it seems that they are giving a car in very good condition but not new at all. .. and since they are giving used cars, i have no information about the model year and even milage of the car I will be getting I am bit confused…I had to talk about these today in their office but just realised that during order process. Do you (or anyone) have a decisive information or experience on that ? Thank you
The subscription offers a 01 in new condition or as good as new. This simply has to do with the amount of cars they have in stock and have been returned with low milage. Many get a new one, some a barely used one. LC always makes sure it is in an acceptable new state. They also shift your car every year for a newer example so basically you are always driving a pretty new low milage example or new 01.

Hi Frederic, my guess would be that you got a 01 with the updates but not yet with the improved onboard charger then as those have been in production as from august (in China) and have slowly started to arrive in the EU. I'm not yet aware of a certain code on the VIN or such to distinguished these differences. Despite the charging speed I hope you are enjoying the car?! 😊
@@thom-lov Is the internal charger 3 phase AC? I don't think so. So when you have a 3 phase charger at home only 1 phase is used, with max 25A = 5.8 KWh max (3x32A is very expensive so nobody has this at home). It's a real shame PHEV car vendors are not using 3 phase systems in their cars. With 1 phase you can have 7.2 KWH but then you have to charge with 32A on 1 phase, which not very common and inconvenient because you can not use any other electricity in your house.

The only difference between Hybrid and Electric mode that I´ve noticed is that the car drives about 5 km´s longer on electricity in Electric mode, compared to Hybrid.
Exactly as Joey states. In addition, the biggest difference is that electric mode will turn down the AC/climate function a bit more and also the acceleration pedal will longer allow electricity as main source when kicking over to petrol. 😊

Hi isnt the upgraded charging on 1 phase, meaning you only benefit from faster charging when plugged into a 22kwh charging station? Those are pretty rare in my region..
The 7.4kW charge is a trickle charge on single phase AC. The 11kW or 22kW charge is a semi-fast charge, in three-phase AC. Even if you connect it to a 22kW charging point, it will always charge at a maximum of 7.4kW.
@@Ronin585 and only if you can charge with 32A per (1) phase at home, which is rare when you have 3 phase at home, then 25A or 16A is more normal-> 5.8 or 3.7 KWh for 1 phase.

does it have the same problem of the previous car at the speed of (110)? when the power goes down?
It does! The moment when the gearbox needs to switch from 2 to 4 when accelerating from low speed directly to 'highway' speed.

Did they fix the mobile app as well?
It appears to be working better already by updates. No major changes
