Polyamory isn't a new concept for humans, but it is new in our American culture, so naturally there are going to be many poor portrayals and mistakes made like this throuple here. Our culture barely teaches us how to stay in happy, healthy monogamous relationships (emphasis on happy and healthy, just because it lasts for 70 years doesn't mean it's either of those things), of course poly ones are going to look even more unrealistic when it's portrayed as it failing all the time. Most relationships don't last, that's just how it is. I think Jenna and Kayla are very sweet, and I agree with Karamo, if they want this to work, Key needs to become a better communicator. Communication is essential in a monogamous relationship, but in a poly one it's even moreso. Also, the language that Key used, "not enough" or "someone not like you", that's very hurtful, even for poly people. It's possible for monogamous people to use polyamory as a way to cheat if they aren't actually poly, and I just hope that's not the case here.

I was with my ex for 7 yrs on and off , and I gave her all my power and energy I wasn’t able to function without her. I was too codependent on her for my own internal happiness. It was until the betrayal where I realized I needed to find my own happiness. With or without her I had to be solid within myself. Self love is the best love because when you feel like something or someone is detaching from you ; you’re still able to function and accept the change. I felt Key being a Narcissist the moment she walked out holding hands with this young lady. As Jenna was on the side closer to Kayla, Key swiftly hopped in between the middle of them as if she didn’t want to be close together. Amongst all the other things I saw and felt Key was nonchalant, condescending, manipulative, liar tendencies, abusive and also anger. and when she felt defeated or powerless she left and lost her little voice. I don’t blame them both Jenna is very beautiful but they have to leave her out of it.

Polyamory isn't a new concept for humans, but it is new in our American culture, so naturally there are going to be many poor portrayals and mistakes made like this throuple here. Our culture barely teaches us how to stay in happy, healthy monogamous relationships (emphasis on happy and healthy, just because it lasts for 70 years doesn't mean it's either of those things), of course poly ones are going to look even more unrealistic when it's portrayed as it failing all the time. Most relationships don't last, that's just how it is.
I think Jenna and Kayla are very sweet, and I agree with Karamo, if they want this to work, Key needs to become a better communicator. Communication is essential in a monogamous relationship, but in a poly one it's even moreso. Also, the language that Key used, "not enough" or "someone not like you", that's very hurtful, even for poly people. It's possible for monogamous people to use polyamory as a way to cheat if they aren't actually poly, and I just hope that's not the case here.

I was with my ex for 7 yrs on and off , and I gave her all my power and energy I wasn’t able to function without her. I was too codependent on her for my own internal happiness. It was until the betrayal where I realized I needed to find my own happiness. With or without her I had to be solid within myself. Self love is the best love because when you feel like something or someone is detaching from you ; you’re still able to function and accept the change. @RJ I agree it's in multiple cultures. But I've never heard of a Poly relationship lasting decades. Humans get jealous, don't want to share love. I really feel many Poly relationships are just a way for someone to have multiple partners in a relationship while not "cheating" this relationship is a prime example of someone just doing Poly because they love someone who wanted to do it and sticking around with it because of that. That's usually what happens when you depend on someone.
