Thx. You're not talking about a popliteal sciatic nerve block. It's a simple technique and very effective. The block range is the same. The second thing is a block of part of the femoral nerve (saphenus n.) in the adductor canal. Both blockades are easy to perform with ultrasound and provide full anesthesia below the knee.

I was given an auxiliary block for forearm surgery. It was done by observing the shock. I think in India we have not moved to better techniques like ultrasound.

Oddly I had a shoulder block with my rotator cuff surgery and part of my hand has still not returned from pins and needles. The thumb, first (index) and half the middle finger. It’s been five weeks and they’re saying to wait it out. Is it possible I may never get feeling back in my hand? It’s also quite painful in that it stings quite often

Can we use lidocaine with adrenaline + dexamethasone to increase the duration of anaesthesia in Bier block. Thanks

Can't this technique be used to relieve people who are in severe Chronic Pain? Is it used in Canada for this reason? It seems this all relates to surgeries only.

If you have to explain what supra and infra clavicular mean, I wonder what kind of residents you are teaching.
