Had a nerve block prior to foot surgery. There was a painful shooting pain during the injection. Almost a 1 year later, I still have numbness and spasms in my foot. Hope it will resolve eventually.
6 months after elbow surgery armpit block, my thumb and 1st n 2nd finger is still numb. I'm a double leg amputee and have now been falling cause i cant feel my fingertips and whole fingertip side of thumb. dr blames the block. the annethetist blames dr... yay

Six months after a nerve block for shoulder surgery, I still cannot make a fist and the hand is somewhat painful.
My husband had a block in his shoulder. They struck the nerve sheath which then numbed half his face among other issues. I will NEVER have a block.
