Hello to you all..loving the channel. We also want to move to Bulgaria and was wondering if there would be need for a Handyman/builder from the UK and do you think I would find any work over there? I'm thinking I could start off working for English residents over there as would make it easier for them to deal with an English speaking worker... What are your thoughts... Many thanks and keep up the good work
Thank you! Glad you enjoy it! It's actually a very over-saturated market here and difficult to get into. Anthony is working as a handyman/labourer and it is tricky to find clients and not step on other peoples toes. Many handymen have operated here for years and do not take kindly to new kids on the block. English residents have also been known to avoid making payments, so it is worth working for someone who can vet the clients beforehand. The wage is also considerably less than you would expect in the UK (around £75 per day at most). Hope this helps!
Hi Laura How long was the interview and what questions did they ask, did you also have to copy all the paperwork and leave it with them or bring all the paperwork back with you , and lastly how long did it take to receive your D visa. Many thanks
It was all done very quickly (within 20 minutes) and yes you need to have copies of everything. I don't think they asked any specific questions. It took around 3 weeks to receive the visa. Hope this helps!
Hello i bought a house in bulgaria 2 years ago im 54 and was told that i couldnt move untill retired meaning in my 70 s what is the process you went threw do you have another video ? I read about trade representatives dont you need £300,000 in the bank to do this ?.. Edited..Thanks
We've spent about £4,000 (possibly slightly more because it hasn't been plain sailing). Tanya Dimitrova is fantastic and has lots of information if you drop her an email (www.visaforbulgaria.com)
can you recommend a solicitor to help with visas please? im looking at moving my kids and me out next year. we have our home bought. just need us and the pets there to make it official.
so it means ma'am after submission of visa application i will wait for 1month+ then i will go back again to Embassy/consulate for collecting visa Stamp? Thanks ma'am❤

You Brits are seemingly attempting to silently conquer our country! 🤣🤣 Welcome to Bulgaria and remember to make friends with the neighbours so they support you 🙂🙂 enjoy the mountains, sea and relaxed life. Be blessed.
Just discovered your channel and already got a million zillion questions. I can see that you lot are way too young and good looking to be retired, so I am really curious about how you qualify for a D visa, because I was under the impression that it was only granted to people who are retired and can prove that they are getting a pension or other source of income... Good luck anyway 🍀🤞🏼😉
Hi! Yes, it's complicated. There are about 10 different types of D Visa but only a select few that Brits can choose. We have gone down the trade representative route. You can ask any Bulgarian lawyer about it and they'll gladly give you the low down 🙂❤️ Thanks for the lovely comment!
@@the_phoenixproject you are very welcome 😊. Thanks for the tip and I will definitely look into it. Ever since we left the EU via Brex#hit, we have all been affected and this 90 days in malarkey makes it difficult for many Brits now. Hopefully you soon won't have worry about that anymore 😊🤞🏼
@@VWApachey yes it's so awkward now. It is possible if you have a little money behind you to obtain a visa. Feel free to drop us a message on Instagram or Facebook if you want to know anything at all ☺️ (Instagram: @phoenixoffgridproject)
@@Michealtravel no, it doesn't matter if you own a property. If you are an EU citizen then you don't need a visa for residency. You can't own a Bulgarian property unless you are an EU citizen, or obtain a Visa D. You need to be either retired, have employment here in BG, run a Bulgarian company, or represent a British one (trade representative). It's complicated, so it's best to consult with a Bulgarian lawyer.
Cha Ching! 🎉 It's all paying off now guys, so glad to hear you've sent it all off and waiting for the visa! 😊 Great video 👌
Thanks guys ❤ We can now say we WILL be in Bulgaria next month! Can't wait 🎉
Funnily enough, just tripped over your video and we are off to see Ves this morning for that very same reason ! 👍
Feel free to ask us any questions! Wishing you all the best ☺️❤️
Thanks for that. All seems as clear as mud at the moment, we'll see how we get on 🤣🤣🤣@@the_phoenixproject

You could contact Veselin Valchev at Ideal Homes and he has all the connections you would need to move and obtain visas etc.

Yes you apply at first with all your paperwork and passport. Then you go back to collect the visa and they stamp/attach the visa to your passport 😊
Hey who fills all the paperwork out do you do it or do the lawyers do it for you
It's more complicated than that. The answer is essentially, both. It's very complicated though.
@@the_phoenixproject I'm having a mare just transfering money at the mo 🤦
hi ma'am i just wanna ask about Visa process. Do the embassy will keep your passport for stamping? Thanks
They stamp your passport when you collect the visa and it is attached to one of the pages.
