Thank you for explaining what you were looking for with what I always called (THE TICKLE TEST). My neurologist has been doing that with me for 20 years. I have Multiple Sclerosis. Now I understand more about what he is looking for.
I had the exact symptoms! Had an ACDF @ C5 6&7. Almost a year now…getting stronger but still using assistance to walk. How long can healing and progress take???
Im not a PT. or an expert, I'm more than that. I'm Here to learn and ask questions most importantly. This looks like a case that surgery could of either been avoided or postponed. When he mentions it started a month ago, "YOU SEEMED OKAY WITH HIM HAVING SURGERY.." It doenst make sense to me. Heres my case: If he had been walking wrong for years OR developed atrophy over time.. which it sounds like the case, since you suggested it yourself... why not teach him how to use his body, help him connect to his big toe/strenghten his arch, properly teach him how to make the mind muscle connnection, his hips look like they're to externally rotated why not teach him his that his adductors are weak, teach em how to correctly breath and brace properly (lumbar spine), maybe teach him how open up his thoracic spine and properly move his cervical spine cohesively . Your thoughts sir? Then see if he makes progress over 2-3 months, then re re-evaluate him again. SURGERY is Helpful in some cases, but this seems correctable. I know your a "CPT," but Surgery is not going to help this man connect to his body, he well continue to develop more problems.. What you taught me: I like the fact you did all the test for him, we learned how to do these test for finding symptoms and possible causes. which is cool, but where is the connection with your patient, Looking at the mans eyes you can tell he doesnt want to do the surgery. (the fact your a service of helping others, makes me question wether your here for the money or to teach people how to get surgerys... I haven't seen other videos but if most of them include you telling us how to test , take pills, do everything that requires us not fix the problem ourselves, since its our body. l had to watch one more before i ate my words but it seemed like im correct.... BTW i saw Your C7 NERVE ROOT COMPRESSION... (WHY NOT TELL HIM TO WORK GET SOMEONE WHO KNOWS HOW TO adress the tightness and weakness with oppossing muscles.... ofcourse he going to get weaker in the next 4 weeks, if your just having him take pills, MASK, and wait and see approach and the fact that you caually throw surgery around like its water make me question your ETHICS/PRACTICE) Please explain how this makes sense? DO YOU MAKE MONEY OF THESE SURGERYS? Have you learned anything new or update your credances? (or is your EGO TO BIG) I get you provide execellent teaching skills on how to become a better PT, but you lack awareness in other areas.. simply your friend, a concerned HUMAN.... "apologies if i came on so strong, but i trully want to understand what is going on here."
excellent presentation. than you
Well explained sir, thank you so much..

Wonderful
Thank you! Cheers!
Great video. Curious as to why a cervical myelopathy wouldn’t cause any weakness or sensory disturbances in the arm or trunk region?
Thank you! Dependent on the spinal tract being compressed. Yes, very interesting.
Do you have to have surgery if you have this or are there other therapies that could be successful in reversing symptoms?
It is usually a bony encroachment problem so that needs to be physically cleaned out.
This is a an interesting case it’s presenting as thoracic myelopathy
But clearly a cervical myelopathy case
Lumbar?
👍👍👍.Thank you
I was told i have cervical sponlitic Myelopathy. Now a neurologist scheduled me for an EMG with nerve to rule out MND.
