@@mp6640 She does have a habit of doing this, nearly ruined the first movie's reaction too with the constant complaining. I honestly like her, but really wish she'd read the room. This is not the kinda channel for that.
Jason's look in this movie is actually based off another murderer known as the Phantom Killer who was a real life killer that stalked and killed people while wearing a sack in Texarkana and was never caught. A few years before this movie, a pseudo documentary style movie was released about him called The Town That Dreaded Sundown
Jason supposedly drowned in 1957 at age 11. If we assume that the original film takes place on June 13, 1980, Jason would have been 34 years old at that time (which is why he wouldn't still be a little boy when he jumps out of the lake to pull Alice underneath the water). If "Part 2" takes place five years after the original film, then Jason would be 39 years old here.

“Movie watching is a passive activity that allows you to think and consider multiple options. 13:22 This is 5 years and two month after "Friday the 13th", which takes place in 1979. So this is set in 1984... but was released in 1981. This means: You watchted a SciFi movie! ;-)
So there was a movie tie-in novel and in it, it actually answers the question of how Jason found Alice. She actually came back to Crystal Lake to get over what had happened to her, and during one of her visits to the campground Jason saw her and recognized her, but before he could get to her, she left. He followed the car back to the town and saw her car parked outside the building she was renting, and from there, paid her a visit that night.
@@ethandoyle4978 it came out originally in 1988 and is long out of print. I pick up a copy off of eBay about 10 years ago for $80 that included novels for pts 1, 3, & 6 as well
Fun Fact: the couple that get double impaled in bed together? Their sex scene in the original cut (never released) was a LOT more explicit. They had to cut out all of it or use extreme closeups because it was revealed that the actress had lied about her age and was still a minor.
Ginny is my favorite final girl of the series. She’s fun, has a good sense of humor but she’s also tough and seems to always be using her psychology studies to analyze Jason and uses that and her smarts at the end to impersonate Mrs Voorhees. Smart, tough, funny, and sexy. She’s great
Also in the game: a car that had to be fixed to get away, and the ability for the specific character from this movie to put on the sweater and beat Jason that way.
Melanie: why are you out playing in the middle of the road? Me: you know I asked a little boy chasing a boat talking about I a sewer clown that one time.
3:19... The Scream Factory Blu-ray of Part 2 is not uncut. The cut scenes are included on that disc as special features only. They are not incorporated back into the movie. The only uncut films in that box set are the 1980 original and 1993's Jason Goes to Hell. 21:59... the machete used in that scene is called a hawkbill machete. The sharp side is the side that curves inward.
I think it was really clever to take the "Kill her Mommy" that Mrs Voorhees was saying at the end of first film and shorten it to "ki ki ki, ma ma ma" and make it the Jason sound
I agree that I find him scarier in the sack. It just comes off creepy and what an actual killer would wear, especially considering the story behind it.
Theory. Jason WAS alive in the first movie. Looking for his mom, but his mom was being elusive killing people and driving around in her Jeep in the rain and whatnot. At on point, in the first movie, I think it's Jason that throws the body through the window at Alice, because Pamela immediately after pulls up in the Jeep, so it wasn't her ;)
There's a home security video out there of a break in and in it a boyfriend is fighting off an intruder with a gun all while his girlfriend does nothing to help him. So after seeing that footage people not helping in horror films makes more sense to me
How is Jason still alive? Did he actually drown? Why did he spend all this time living in the woods? How could his mother who spent decades stalking the camp never notice he was nearby? Half the crew asked these exact questions, and the other half said not to think too hard about it. Friday the 13th: The Game would later try to fix this via the Pamela Tapes. It still doesn't make a lot of sense, and its canonity is unknown. Jason didn't drown, but Pamela thought he did after several failed police searches and had a mental breakdown.
According to the Shout! Factory audio commentary, Steve Miner claimed the ending of the film was not a hallucination by Ginny and Jason did not kill Paul.

Possible spoiler alert: The on going Friday the 13th theory is Jason was killed due to camp counselors negligence and bullying by the other kids cause they accidental drowning. Jason's mother tried to resurrect him using the necronomicon but it didn't happen immediately so she left going on a rampage killing all counselors in the area thinking she's failed. While Jason resurrected sometime later and all alone having to raise himself in the woods. Until he heard his mother's voice while hunting then he witnessed his mother decapitation. So throughout the series he's just a mutant then in later installments he becomes a deadite which would also explain why he only dies temporarily because if deadite are not killed in a certain way they will resurrect.
