Yes you can. I have done it. You can screw in a circular vnd. I would suggest to use the same thread size vnd as the lens threads size. So for example 72mm lens thread and use 72mm Neewer adapter ring screwed onto the lens and then mount the matte box onto this adapter ring. Then from the front of the matte box you can screw on a 72mm vnd filter.
@@israelsuperguia yes the matte box comes with 67, 72, 77 and 82mm lens adapters to mount the matte box. And on the other side of these adapters there is female threads at the front so you can screw in your vnd
I have a bmpcc4k, I’m planning to get the Sirui anamorphic lens 35mm 1.33x, do you think using this will create vignetting being anamorphic and having more image to show? I can’t find answers anywhere.
I need help. I have a Sony A9 and a Tamron 17-28mm lens and I’ve tried multiple variable ND filters but get a lot of vignette even at the 22mm focal distance. What filter do you recommend? I’ve tried larger filters with step down rings but want a system that would work with my lens. I’m open to larger square ND filters and it doesn’t have to be variable. I’m shooting only video outdoors in mostly bright light. Thank you.
Hey Colorado what’s up man. So I think an issue could be with how many step up rings you are using. I’m not sure how many step up / down rings you are using but I would first suggest to get ONE specific step up ring that fits your lens to the ND filter. That would be my first and cheapest option I would try first. If that doesn’t work then I would maybe suggest buying a matte box so you can use 4x5.6 ND filters like shown in this video. I am using this matte box and ND filter kit on the sigma 18-35mm lens on my Lumix GH6 camera and at 18mm I am not get any vignetting. Again my camera is a micro four thirds sensor so it is 2x more zoomed in then maybe your Sony full frame. I would order this matte box and filter and if it don’t work then return it. Hope this helps. Keep in touch and let me know how it works out for you. Cheers.
Thanks buddy!!!! Great tip. I appreciate your help and will order that matte box and try it out. I’m only using one step up ring from 67 mm to 82 mm. Thanks again!
Bro the background music hits soooo hard!
Haha right. I know what you mean. I vibe to it to.
Thanks man.
Also great products showcase
Thanks buddy.
Very much appreciated.
Is it possible no using the glass and instead adapt a variable ND filter? Thanks

@LeoPazzo I appreciate the clarification, I wanted to make sure before ordering. My VND is 67mm. Are these rings included with the Matt box?

@@SamirJzVFX hey there.
I think it will be fine. I believe since the bm4k is m43 so I think it will not have vignetting.
