I'm an Aussie and learned so much about our Aussie rodding and metal shaping industry, but this one here with Rod, takes the cake in my opinion, I could have watched, listened and learned from this man all day and I am well into my 70's. Love it, and especially to the connections to the legends of my formulative teen years; George Barris, Ed Roth & Gene Winfield were my car idols in 1962, when I used to steal my brother's "Hot Rod" magazines, because he would never allow me to look at them. Thank you for showing this one and I love his shed even more!
Whether you realize it or not Chad, these legends of the custom car world that Mick is talking about NOW includes you mate. Just reward for your hard work!
I love seeing Chad talking with all these guys and I don't think Chad even realizes that each of them have told him that they watch all his shows. Chad's walking around in awe but the guy told him several times, I do it just like you... Chad is so humble it's awesome. I truly hope that Chad starts getting the accolades he deserves 🙏 Jolene I keep saying thank you for being an amazing filmer you are filming history and I sure hope people watching realize what we are getting to see. I am blessed to watch this conversation 🙏 thank you Jolene.
I was thinking the exact same thing. Chad is so busy being enamored the compliments he’s getting are completely lost on him. Hopefully Jolene pointed it out later.
Little Mick is a Legend here in Australia, in the car scene, in the biker scene, he is a artist, he did the centre fold drawings for our biker magazine, just like David Mann did for EasyRider, he also did Air Brush art on cars and bikes, he's a true 1%, yeah Mick is the real deal, you can see Chad and Mick are in awe of each other, so cool for them both.
I have watched all the productions made by Chad and Jolene here in Australia, Mick was the most interesting and I think he is in a class of his own. A class that very few builders, painters could hope to achieve Worldwide.👌
Back in the 80-90’s Used to buy all the Ozbikes and live to ride mags, mostly for micks art. That was years ago and I’ve still got some of them up on the walls. Good on you mick, good to see what a great artist you are and a true blue laid back bloke. Cheers.
The best artists are very humble. Mick is an awesome guy. The bubble top car and matching bike and sidecar blew me away. Thanks Chad and Joleen for your Australia adventure. Sure you'll be back!!
Much respect to Beatnic Lil Mick from Loco Banditos Marc in Bakersfield California USA. I’ve had your Tattoo Flash hanging up in my Tattoo shop for over 30 years. Mad Dog Tattoo Bakersfield. It’s cool to have the real deal here on youtube. Thanks Chad for knowing what’s up!
Love it Chad, You need to remember, We all love are country where we are from, A lot of things they do we don't like. I've never seen this man in a magazine, But I'm seeing him now, Thanks to you, Love your work..👍😊
As a long time Fan of Little Mick. Thanks for sharing American your home grown skills. I've got mate's that waiting months to get Tattoo by Little Mick. Done so much for little kids, rising money for sick kids. True Man of his time, long time on top. Respect R.F.F.R.
What an incredible adventure you two have experienced. It was great tagging along. As usual, Jolene was an artist with the camera which made it all the more interesting. Have a safe trip home. I suspect one of those metal benders is in your future.
I'm learning more about the Australian custom car scene and history from these Bad Chad and Queen Jolene TH-cams than I have from anything before and I'm an Aussie! so good work and thank you! There should be more content from the Australian scene as there appears to not be all that much apart from a few TV Shows like Rides Down Under: Workshop Wars (and on repeat) we need to make more TV shows ourselves to share what Australia is and has been doing in the car scene! Cheers!
Thanks Chad and Jolene, for another interesting video, from this incredible artist that if it wasn't for you I would never have met him and also thanks to Little Mick for his talent and for sharing with us a bit of his stories.
So much talent, great video. This is a lost art that will just go away soon. I love the way you guys talk about the old days. Thanks for sharing..... Love It!
Chad and Jolineen, Wow what a visit SOOOOO COOL!!!! You are so lucky. By the way yesterday I was in Downey California USA. I went by Larry Watson's old shop, he's long gone but his shop is still there, the name is on the building but not his bearded profile. Enjoy your trip!!!!!!!!
Super visit again! I think Rod & Di deserve a special thank you for making your trip super interesting and memorable. Thank you Chad & Jolene safe journey home....
Jolene / Chad this has been one heck of a trip. So thankful that you have shared your beautiful trip with us. So much talent out there in this world. Thanks again. 😙
This guy is awesome,,,what a cool dude!!...creative man of many talents....Could be Chads Brother from another mother,,,,Chad could hang with this guy for days!!
FANTASTIC - I live in Western Australia (opposite side of our great land DownUnder) Little Mick is a LEGEND Thanks Chad for bringing this groovy video to life.
This was the best job of touring and meeting other car guys. I appreciate it so much that you took us along. Just proves that there are so many ways to skin a cat.
this place of lil micks is by far the coolest place in Australia you been what luck you got to see it and some great stories also .thank you so much for sharing guys .
Chad, I've heard you say, that if if you had all the machines, you wouldn't know how to use them. A pullmax would be a game changer for you, you wouldn't know how to use it at first, but trust me when I say, it wouldn't take long. I was in the same boat until I got some of those fancy machines, but after playing with them long enough to understand how they do what they do, my world dramatically changed. Seriously, check into one, get one, and ruin some sheet metal, you'll wonder why you didn't get one sooner. Love all that you two do!
I think it was either '86 or '87 when I first met Mick & saw his talents in person, after watching his skills in Ozbike for years. Awesome talent, great guy.
What an amazingly gifted talent he is. Chad was in Valhalla & Queen Jolene was documenting the experience. Thanks for inviting us all over to Australia... Cheers..
Chad, you and Jolene are doing something that means so much to so many of us! Thank you for taking us along to experience some of the most interesting people and places on earth!
WOW! So inspiring. I could just walk around Mick's shop for days in awe of his talent, and amazing creativity. Thanks for the introduction, and tour of Mick's shop.
Thanks a million for archiving these legends...great to see how Chad who's used to being the 'star', is so humble and generous with his appreciation of what he's being shown. As an West Aussie custom bike builder, I have to say this tour of Chad and Jolene has introduced me to more East Coast builders and Kustom Kulture than I even knew existed! Big ups to you both...very glad to see that you're having such an enjoyable visit Down Under!
This was a great episode. I thnk I see a bubble motorcycle and sidecar in Chads near future. It appeared to me that that Chad was in total awe of that build. The matching car was as beautiful of a futuristic car that I’ve ever seen. Chad was correct in saying that it should have been on magazine covers worldwide. 🇨🇦☮️
I met Little Mick at the Brisbane hot rod show as a teenager, he was extremely patient with a teenagers questions. One of a few people that got me into rods and customs
How can one person have this much skill and knowledge. From art, tattoo’s, metal work, spray painting, air brush, bike and car building and most importantly the ideas and vision.
Chad I enjoyed all your videos from Australia and I'm glad you and Jolene enjoyed yourselves and I want to say thank you and I hope you all have a safe and blessed flight back home. God bless and have a safe and blessed night
Chad I sure hope you are taking in this knowledge and you damn well better understand how freaking lucky you are to be there getting knowledge from a master like him. You are an amazing builder but with just a little more knowledge, man you could be top builder by far because just like he and others have told you while you are there that they can't believe how fast you build cars. I am unbelievably happy right now watching you guys together. I'm literally fan girling out right now and I will damn sure be saving a few of these videos because they are history and their will never be builders like you guys. Thank you thank you thank you Jolene
Pullmax for the win !! I used one for 4 years doing sheet metal trade where I did my apprenticeship. They still have it out back collecting dust in a shed . Hmmmm I always did want that 😊
That Mik is one awesome dude!! Thanks for the ride along Jolene and Bad Chad. Great times you guys had, have safe trip home. See ya back home at the ranch.
The home of MAD MAX makes perfect sense that Australia is a muscle car world capitol. BAD CHAD rules ! 4:54 is just crazy cool. He is a GENIUS. 20:53 is brilliant.
Chad and Jolene will remember this all their lives....rubbin elbows with the greatness of old skool. I hear Mick talking about his long relationship with Gene...the great Gene Winfield....Oh man, what I would give just to go to Gene's place and breath in the history and the genius.
Fantastic trip Chad, these fellows you went to their shops are doing some very good things and very impressive. But I can’t wait till you go home and can watch you and Jolene DO your thing. Everyone you ran into, in the shops, rallies and on the street are very impressed with you, you my friend are a Rock Star. Keep doing Chad.
I could not stop watching this visit and never hit the advance key either--excellent excellent excellent! There are folks doing great things everywhere and we are fortunate to have met this tremendously talented chap👍

OH MYYYYY!!!!!!! What a fantastic place to visit chad,,I relly enjoyed being there with you an Jolene, thanks so much for takeing us with you,, luv you guys,,👍👍😀
Chad take it all in because these guys are the Car God's they don't tell their secrets to just anyone... Just knowing that should make you feel special because he respects you enough to be telling you stuff no one else knows. I'm happy for you and Queen Jolene. 👍
All videos bad Chad shared from Australia this one really sticks to my brain. You can just see bad Chad gears grinding in his brain and this is pretty much exactly what he does I think.🤔🤔 !! Bad. Chad is going to build a three wheel motorcycle when he gets home, sooner or later, I think. He’s in heaven right now at this cats place !! 😊💥✌🏼😎
I notice because these are my favorite Harley engines The bubble bike and the other two bikes are all “SHOVELHEADS” like I’m not positive but like 1966-1983 before that were Panheads and after that were Evolutions 😄 I love me some Shovels
Most of this stuff deserves to be in a national museum. Doesn't the Australian government have something like the Smithsonian, to preserve these for all time? He's a national treasure along with everything he's done to inspire generations into the future.
What the fuck , this guy got the shop , chad I know you don’t have any ideas in your head when you get back home to your shop , been great watching, thanks Jolene for being on the camera , your the main reason we got to see your guys adventure in Australia, have a safe trip back to Toronto, looking forward to your next adventure, cheer’s!!!
In this episode Bad Chad meets his long-lost and like-minded uncle. The channel is really picking up. Jolene's talent for shooting video is growing like Topsy!
His improvisation and fabrication stills are excellent. Old school custom builder not many left now. You can tell how good someone is by what they can get away with.
Lil Mick n Tracy r the coolest! Definitely Big Hitters in the worldwide car building scene Chad. Check out Paul Bacon from England as well. These guys are the Full Custom Ian's of their Countries . As you are to Canada Sir.
A great video. A very talented man like yourselves. He has enormous talent in everything he does and humble like you Chad. I could see chads jaw drop when he saw the press in action and the results. I reckon he'll be on the look out for a second one when he gets back to Nova Scotia. Have a safe flight back home both of you. Good to have you visit Australia. Cheers, Chris. Sunshine Coast. 👍🦘
After this I personally would be energized to expand my creative ideas and I'm pretty sure it will have that effect on Bad Chad and Jolene. Can't wait to see what or how this changes Chads and Jolene's creations back at the garage.
This used to be done in nearly every shed in uk .off bikers 90,s late 2000 where magic times for bike builders .I still have all my mags bsh awol.street fighters, mechanics.they where my main four .but bhought the odd bike .performance bike when the new models come out but mostly built ,
Wow! I didn't know that anyone is still interested in welding with an acetylene torch! Unless brazing cast iron or something. I was taught how to weld with an acetylene torch, when I took metal shop in high school. But I think the last time that I used that method in my adult life, was probably in the latter 1980s.
I'm an Aussie and learned so much about our Aussie rodding and metal shaping industry, but this one here with Rod, takes the cake in my opinion, I could have watched, listened and learned from this man all day and I am well into my 70's. 2nd that these are amazing
Yeah me to
Thats the main difference imo between him and Ed Roth. Roth was a fiberglass builder.
The paintwork though is spot on
Whether you realize it or not Chad, these legends of the custom car world that Mick is talking about NOW includes you mate. Just reward for your hard work!
So true !
I love seeing Chad talking with all these guys and I don't think Chad even realizes that each of them have told him that they watch all his shows. Such a humble man that’s what keeps the car culture alive, if you like it build it.
His improvisation and fabrication stills are excellent. Old school custom builder not many left now. You can tell how good someone is by what they can get away with.
Mick"s Shop looks just like Bad Chad's shop in Nova Scotia. You can tell this is a working shop....
I can see all the gears running in Chads head, taking it all in. These type of custom builders are an amazing lot.

Wow! I didn't know that anyone is still interested in welding with an acetylene torch!
Unless brazing cast iron or something.
I was taught how to weld with an acetylene torch, when I took metal shop in high school.
But I think the last time that I used that method in my adult life, was probably in the latter 1980s.
Chad’s heaven. These two connect like Lego.
Holy shit ! Australia is doing good builds ! The best ones … wow , thanks bad chad ! This is great ,👍
