I was born in ‘71, and love all the rod and customs from the 50’-60’.s. This is one of my absolute favorites from back then and got a once in a lifetime chance to see it after Murph resurrected it. Can’t wait for more videos to see what’s featured next. And yeah, I vote no Ai voice too. Awesome vintage pics you included. I’ve found quite a few vintage magazines with features thru the history of El Matador too,
Had several negative responses to the Ai VoiceOver. I hate my own voice so I thought it would be easier to just use the AI voice, but if that detracts from the content, I guess I will not use it again. @@Pappy1940 Thanks for responding. The content was great but there is something insulting to listen to a robot explain and mispronounce words. It would be much more interesting to me to listen to a real person, no matter how old, explain the video. It's the real deal, not a bogus voice!

I fondly remember seeing the Matador at various car in the shows in the late 1961 to early 1963 era. I once dragged ( no pun intended) my parents to I think it was East Orange NJ to a big car show with the Outlaw, the Beatnik Bandit...and the Amazing Matador...it was a total mind trip before the (unfortunate) era of drugs. What a sight! It was the 1940's somehow beamed up into the 21st century!!! My father said something: He said that Only in this country would, or could something like this happen American innovation...and Freedom Hevwas 100% right. And there was the feeling that the custom car movement itself was letting you see of unauthorized glimpses into advancements that "they" hadn't authorized and "they" didnt want you to see.... I remember my girl friend at the time calling the Matador and its paint "luscious" it sure was, it was a Knock Out What great, great memories. Ive been all over the world and been to many snooty concours through the years. But there's never been another Matador. God bless American inovators deciding they can do something better, and without anyone's OK, doing it
I never liked white walls when i was younger but those US royal masters are cool, that is a great car, I would love to see that style and craftsmanship more often these days. I agree lose the AI voice maybe try captions, just a thought, thanks for posting the video
A shame that as craftsman saved a piece of custom car history an A.I. voice with all of the passion and soul a machine can offer kills any enjoyment of watching and learning about it.

Would it have broken the bank to have an actual automotive journalist narrate this story

Yeah, I make mistakes. The rear window is a Chevy fleetline turned upside down. I am learning as I go and it sure aiont easy.
