    I Wish you could do a Tutorial with a heavier Camera (Canon 5D with a wide angle prime) There are a lot of 5D owners that have purchased EC-1. Also maybe market that would block holder thats great

      + 1000 They could sell a little table top stand and I would buy it. It really is a three hand task to balance the camera. I'm currently using a light stand

      The DGH (Dual Grip Handle) is a great help when balancing. You can check out the EC1-DGH-KIT here: bit.ly/2obXBqZ or the DGH by itself: bit.ly/1UFoyvS

      I totally agree! Balancing this with a canon 5D seems to be much different considering the weight.

    Thank you Julio Ramon! Great idea to post these instructions, I was having a hard time following the print ones that can in the kit

    I wish there were some reverse shots of the instructor. i.e from his POV. I sometimes get confused when viewing him as to which is left and right, as his left is my right. Also the fact that he is left handed and I am right handed only adds to some confusion. Otherwise the demo is excellent, but if we could see his POV it would have helped a lot, IMHO. This would have been easy to do as all you need was another video camera behind him and off to his right or left. My head hurts!

    Good job and thank you, Julio. My Panasonic GH4 with Olympus M.Zuiko 7-14mm wide angle lens is considerably larger and heavier than the Sony camera and lens you demonstrated with, but it all fits and balances well. I made a wood block with a hole in it like yours and having a stand to HOLD the BeHOLDer is definitely a must!

    I think you missed talking about the top yellow screw

    • @smajid127
      @smajid127 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it should be set to 0 and only be adjusted to fit the gimbal into the case.

    on my ec1 it has 5 gold screws .and on the other ec1 has an extra golden Screw on the the height adjustment ..Am I missing a screw ..also when I adjust the Height,its very hard to adjust?

    • @IkanInternational
      @IkanInternational  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, I don't believe you're missing a screw. Older models had the screw on the side motor, but the newest model does not have one there. If you're having trouble balancing, you can always contact support@ikancorp.com - let them know you've seen this video as they might refer you to it.

    I have an a6300 with a Sony 16-50 lens. I can balance everything, except the yaw arm will not go far enough in to allow perfect yaw balance. I hope that my Son 10-18mm lens will perfectly balance. But what can I do about the yaw arm not going far enough in? This thing is so cool, but so tricky too!

    This product needs to go back to the drawing board. It almost damaged my 5D MKIV because of uncontrollable spin. The click once, click twice beep to change the gimbal mode is extremely amateurish and confusing. The release plates and tightening knobs are even worse and i have to place labels on them to indicate which plate is controlled by what knob.

    Hi, I have a canon 5d mark iii with a 24-105 mm lens and i cannot seem to balance it properly. I have a feeling that it is too heavy for the camera+lens combination. Which lens would you recommend best to suit this gimbal for the canon 5d mark iii

    • @IkanInternational
      @IkanInternational  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      We recommend anything lightweight with a focal length of 50mm or shorter. Hope this helps!

    Hi. I have a question. This can hold a Canon 5D Mark III with a 24-70 mm lens?

    • @IkanInternational
      @IkanInternational  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, but it may have a limited range of mobility due to the size of this combination.

    Does the EC-1 baseplate work with any other baseplate adapters? Manfrotto? etc. I need to move quickly from tripod to the EC-1 without having to do a complete balance every time. Would prefer to just put on the lens I previously balanced the EC-1 with, and go. Is this even possible?

    • @IkanInternational
      @IkanInternational  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Patrick. Unfortunately this is not possible because the gimbal does not work with other baseplates.

    • @patricktaylor8637
      @patricktaylor8637 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks so much for the timely response! What about using our own adapter on the EC-1? Would that present a balance issue?

    • @IkanInternational
      @IkanInternational  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      No problem, Patrick. I'm not sure what you mean by your own adapter. Can you please clarify?

    • @patricktaylor8637
      @patricktaylor8637 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sure. Could I put my Manfrotto baseplate adapter on the EC-1, thus allowing me to simply click into it with my camera that already has a Manfrotto baseplate attached.

    • @IkanInternational
      @IkanInternational  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I see. As far as interchanging baseplates for cross-platforming, the Manfrotto baseplate won't fit on the EC1's baseplate system. If you'd like to see closer pictures of the baseplate that comes with the EC1, you can check it out here: bit.ly/2iuIfLT or see more photos with the EC1 here: bit.ly/2cTPDwm

    I have this model and even when I put Gorpo on it it shakes. there are spots that the gimble shakes. How should I fix this problem?

    • @IkanInternational
      @IkanInternational  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! The EC1 minimum weight is 2 lbs, so the GoPro would be too light. If you are experiencing vibrations with a camera above 2 lbs, then check out our TH-cam gimbal software tutorial: th-cam.com/video/uTfl72n_h9E/w-d-xo.html. Part 1, 2 and 7 should help you adjust the motor strengths to remove the vibrations. Hope this helps!

    I can´t mount my gimbal on a tripod because the diameter of the hole in it is bigger than the shoe´s screw. what can I do?

    • @IkanInternational
      @IkanInternational  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can use a 3/8"-16 to 1/4"-20 adapter screw. If you have an Ikan gimbal and it's under warranty, you can contact support@ikancorp.com and they might be able to help you out - otherwise, productions stores like B&H have them. =)

      try just putting a piece of cardboard or foam or something like that between the camera and the baseplate. It seems like a cheap and nasty baseplate they've given us, I luckily had a better one lying around. I think it's manfrotto 501 compatible so you could try getting a generic one off ebay.

    Hi guys, may be I'm not smart enough, but I would like to know if the EC1 works with the following camera setups. From my point point of view it doesn't:
    Nikon D750+AF-S NIKKOR 24-120 MM 1:4G ED VR
    Obviously this combination is way to heavy for the EC1although it's completely in the range you recommend regarding weight of the camera. I could not manage to balance this Nikon combination properly - and it works poorly in stabilization. Even the base plate of the EC1 is not stable enough to hold the Nikon D750.
    Sony RX 100 III
    Unlike the Nikon D750 the Sony RX 100 III seems to be way to light. I could fairly manage to balance it. But even in mode 1 the camera is not really fixed like it should be in this mode. It's always panning slightly, so it's impossible to follow someone running oder cycling properly.
    Do you have any recommendations regarding these cameras or should I return the EC1?
    Thanks!

    This was the best Gimbal never made the ronin S is trash,the ronin m trash,the horizon one is trash,the pivot is trash! Please bring the EC1 gimbal style with a heavier payload! Please I kinda lost the passion to film because of these new crappy Gimbals!
