  • today's video I was testing out 14 teeth sprocket on my ktm 250 exc tpi . I went from a 13 to a 14 because the bike was very snappy and on the slow stuff hard for lugging that bike up steep slow hills. what a difference, amazing for the slow stuff now but the downside lost a bit of that power in 2nd for hitting them fast hill climbs. next step is to play with the power valve to find that sweet spot.

My ec300 tpi was blowing my arms off constantly in the slow stuff and felt like missing a gear between 2nd and 3rd. Added a flywheel weight to help it stay alive down low and back the power valve out 1.5 turns.
I'm always tinkering with it by 1/4 of a turn here and there. It's now unreal at low speed bit similar to yourself where it almost delays the top end hit a bit. Once I'm more comfortable with it I'll tighten the valve more each time to give me more wallop.

Yeah, I'm loving how it's pulling now just not hitting right on them fast hill climbs. I think a little play about with the power valve and she'll be mint 👌

@@Dirtdogging I run a 14 - 52 got plenty on the bottom and still plenty up top when you need it 👍🏻

@@joshoc7729 if I can’t get it to where I need it with power valve I’ll try that 👍
